Tell me the "weather" where you live.

Heading out to the pool for my workout. I'll have my phone so will snap pictures if I see anything of interest on the way up or back. I don't anticipate much but you never know.

Does anyone else smell what I smell?

I think I know what that smell is ....

Do you know what that smell is?

It's the smell of low nighttime temps in the 60s coming (barely) soon.

And the highs drop down into the lower 90s.

College football season must be close.

50 degrees right now. Not typical August temperatures. Love it!
Us too, Denise. Not 50, but upper 50s. It appears Ed finally sent some of that cool air up towards us. High today is in the 70s. I have baseball tickets tonight, so it will be great, for August. It is short lived up here, though. Back into the low/mid 90s by Saturday.

Team,
Come a little farther south. 101 yesterday. 102 today. We are getting a break though. 94 tomorrow and 97 on Thursday. Then the bottom drops, just in time for me to fly south.

At least the pool heater is getting a break, my pool was at 93 today, too warm for me

We head out on our 60 day western trip in 2 weeks, hopefully cooler in the mountains

Wow! 93. My pool is only 88. That's still comfortable to me. I set the hot tub down to 90 in the Summer.

9pm and it is still 95. Only 82 at Disney.

We hit 100.2 by our weather station yesterday. Today is supposed to be 101. The only thing helping is we are in a drought and the humidity is low.

We hit 102.6 by our weather station yesterday. Today is supposed to be 99. The only thing helping is we are in a drought and the humidity is low. The humidity is supposed to go up today. Possible scattered rain Fri-Sat-Sun.

There's that smell again. Does anyone else smell that?

This coming weekend has a high of 75F on Friday. The Bama home football game will be against South Florida on Saturday night and the weather should be glorious. And check out the low on Sunday night!

I hope all of you are also forecasted to get some fall weather wherever you are.

Haven't done one of these in awhile. Here's current stats, OTWWF, and the current track of the storm the weather guessers are posting.

Don, the current forecast for Orlando (WDW) on Thursday is for 40mph wind gusts. I don't know if that's enough to close the Fort and send campers to the resort hotels because of possible downed limbs. Better strap down everything outside, buddy.

Here at my house, we will be well on the back (west) side of the storm so just some rain predicted. But what's interesting is that TODAY is the last day with a high forecasted in the 90s. The short-term forecast is affected by the clouds and rain predicted for Helene and after that the long-range has no 90s. :beach:

Might be able to re-open the railroad for the season on Sunday (after the Bama-Georgia game).

@bama_ed As you know, we're about 20 miles-ish from the Fort. Won't have a good idea how close it will come but not terribly worried about wind- if the current track holds and that's anybodies guess we will definitely get a bunch of rain. Not a factor in our neighborhood as we have a bunch of drainage ponds connected by gator tunnels. Our biggest serious concern is the tornados, which always pop up when the track is to our west. As far as Orange county, I don't think they're even on the watch list.... yet. My daughter lives east of Orlando and we've been keeping an eye over there.

Funny with the weather here. Until Saturday, we had less then 1/4 inch of rain in September. Normal is about 3.5. It started raining Saturday and has been going off and on since. At home, we had over 4 inches since Saturday and it is forecast to rain everyday through next Monday. None of this has been associated with the hurricane. That should be here Friday/Saturday. Last night the track put it right over my area. Today it has shifted a little further east. The NHRA is in town this weekend. Naturally I have tickets. That's not looking very likely. 88% chance of rain Friday and 68% on Saturday.
