Tell me the "weather" where you live.

That's great. Better yet, I'll pull the snow blower out every October and put it away in April, like I do now. :teeth:

This is why I love you Yankee types.

Bring sunscreen, Jim. :beach: You'll need it from the start of February till the end of January.

I know Havasu well! Used to spend Easter vacation there camping & waterskiing. Havasu City was, well, there really wasn't much of a 'city' there back in the early '70s lol.

My first experience of real humidity was in Chicago, in July. We went up the (then) Sears Tower in the morning when the humidity wasn't too bad, but when we came out a few hours later it was as if someone had slapped a wet rag over my mouth it was so hard to breathe. Also the first time in my life I found out what it was like to never feel completely dry.

I was there every summer from 70 to 79. And yup, nothing there. The airport was on the island. I have pictures of the bridge before there was any water in the channel. Yes, I have stories! LOL

Outdoor thermometer said 102. High humidity. Such a great day to go walk around the botanical gardens! 🥵

It’s usually cooler in Florida when I look than it is here because they get a breeze off the ocean. We just get ☀️ or 🌪️.

Windy down here too, but nothing that severe. The worst I had was the umbrellas around the pool getting knocked over. :beach:

Yeah, I got in my car Wed evening at 6:30, and it was 102. I hate to think what it was in the afternoon. Then, at 4 am yesterday morning, it was 91.

I’m at the beach now, and it’s way cooler than back home, not coming anywhere near reaching 100, and last night, I even put a jacket on to watch the fireworks on the beach. Can I just stay here until the next hurricane is forecasted? I don’t want to go back to oppressive heat.

We hit 100 for the first time this year yesterday. 🥵
Pretty early for you too, Denise.

Hot (90s) and sticky here, but a front and some storms went through last night. It's going to be in the 80s with lower humidity for the next few days. Perfect weather!

Today (Thursday 7/11/24) and yesterday morning the morning temps were in the high 60s and the humidity had fallen dramatically and it was extremely pleasant for my morning walks (3 miles) both days.

It had been hot and humid for the last week or 10 days with frequent, short rains and the problem was that the night time lows right before sun-up were 76F or higher which means I laid in bed all night listening to the air conditioner run constantly :sad1: . So it was great to get a break.

And the grass in the yard is lush from the showers.

Hope there were places around where fellow DIS'sers got a break as well.

Beryl rolled just south of STL on Monday and Tuesday. The TV weather people claimed some areas got between 2.5-3 inches of rain.

Ian had a blow up raft next to the pool. It was dry/empty Sunday night. This was yesterday morning.

Looks like a good 4.5 to me. And the pool filled up about the same. Water was just below the 1/2 way point on the skimmers Monday morning. Wednesday night the skimmer was completely covered and I was considering pumping some water out.

One of my staff said their rain gauge was showing over 6 inches at their house.

Toasty!

That was our weather the last 2 days, but the system that hit Wisconsin and northern Illinois yesterday, decided to blow up right over us today. One of my staff said there are tornado warnings just west of us and a dam is ready to breech in a small town to the east.
