This is the best advice! If you go in expecting craziness & are prepared, your experience will be much better.

I'm hoping everyone will be in Carsland and the rest will be clear

I do believe that this will help somewhat. We went last June right after Little Mermaid and the new improved Star Tours opened and ended up being pleasantly surprised. The parks were busy, but when you have people willing to stand in line for 2+ hours for Star Tours, it really helped other ride's lines to an extent. Tomorrowland was sort of mobbed the whole day, but the rest of the park seemed normal. I am hoping for something similar this Summer.

I will say that we stayed onsite and got 2 fastpasses a piece for our family and this made a huge difference. We ended up using both on Star Tours and never had to deal with the crowds/lines. Perhaps they will have another such promotion this Summer.

Either way, I think if you start early and have a plan, you are going to have a great time! I think this will be an exciting Summer in DL!!

And on a personal note: NO DLR DOES NOT ENFORCE FP TIMES. THIS HOWEVER DOESNT MEAN THAT IT IS ACCEPTABLE TO HOARDE FPS AND USE THEM WHENEVER YOU WANT. FP'S RUN OUT FAST AT DLR BECAUSE PEOPLE GET MULTIPLES TO USE AT A LATER TIME. I HAVE EVEN SEEN PEOPLE THROW THEM AWAY. WHAT THIS CAN MEAN (ESPECIALLY AT SPLASH MOUNTAIN)
IS THAT YOU WILL STAND AROUND AT NIGHT WATCHING ALOT OF FP'S GETTING THRU AHEAD OF YOU EVEN THOUGH YOU KNOW THEY WERE OUT BY NOON. JUST BECAUSE THEY DONT ENFORCE IT DOESNT MEAN ITS NOT AGINST THE RULES AND A REALLY CRAPPY WAY TO TOUR. OF COURSE THIS IS MHO.

But, what you seem to be forgetting is that a large number of people do NOT know they can use FP outside of the printed window. How many people coming back to ride in the evening got fast pass before they ran out at noon, but the return time was 9pm? The return times are spread out over the entire day.
