Tell me the best mode of transportation from WDW to US/IOA..please

Hi..we are going to be in Flordia Dec 23 - Jan 3 and will be spending most of our time on WDW property where we would not need a car - but we are going to US/IOA for at least 2 days and "maybe" a day at Sea World. I was going to just rent a car for these days but found it was less expensive to rent for the whole 11 days and now I'm wondering if I even have to...is there a bus or transit service we could use instead?

I would love any tips / advice from those who have used these services or links to where I can get more info on this.

Hi Dawn

Mears do a shuttle service picking up on selected days - I think it's about $8 per person.

We are leaving POR to go to IOA, Universal, and Sea World on seperate days - there are 10 of us and we're just hiring taxis. It's not the cheapest way of doing it, but it gives us some flexibility with times!

I thought it was Mears that did some sort of shuttle...their website isn't much help on times / prices so I was hoping someone on here had actually used this service.

Cost of mears to UO is $13-15 per person round trip depending on where you're leaving from. I ended up calling them, and they pick up at Pop Century starting at 6:25am every hour until 9:25am. Their next pick up time is at 3:45, then 4:45pm and so on. The return times are every hour on the half hour, with their last pick up being at 2:30am. Hope this helps some with UO. I'll be using Mears on the 3rd of October to go to US and IoA (picked up at 7:25am due to rush hour traffic and then planning on stopping to eat at one of the resorts), then also on the 6th for HHN's (3:45pm pickup with a hopeful return time of 1:30am.)
