Tell me Something Good about Tony's--ONLY GOOD!!

Yay! I am glad to see 'good' reviews, too. We are trying Ton's for the first time in 14 days!! Can't wait. I chose this over LTT...when we were at LTT last year, the food was great, but the service was horrible.

I'm so happy to read such nice things! We're going to try to get to Tony's during our trip and I can't wait - Lady and the Tramp is one of my favorite Disney films so I'm excited about the theming and I just love calamari so I'm psyched up for the food! :cool1:

We love Tony's! We always eat there our last night of the trip. A great tip I've learned on here- try and plan your meal time around SpectroMagic. Ask for a table out on the patio and you can get a table side view of the parade while you eat!

We ate there 10 days ago. Both the food and the service were excellent. The restaurant is also very pretty. Don't worry, you'll enjoy it. :goodvibes

We love Tony's! We've eaten there twice, once on our honeymoon and once last summer. We've always received spectacular service (more on that in a moment!) and very enjoyable meals.

On our honeymoon, we hadn't made ADR's (we were newbies to the ways of the World!) and it was Christmas week. We asked if there would be any chance of getting a table (we were wearing our wedding ears) and within 2 minutes (no kidding!), we were escorted to a table in the center of the restaurant (if looks could kill from the tons of people in the lobby waiting for a table...) that was decorated for us with tons of Mickey confetti! Our waiter had the entire restaurant sing "That's Amore" to us and they brought us a celebratory dessert with a candle in it. It was soooo sweet. :)

Last summer, we mentioned to our waiter that we'd had a lovely meal there on our honeymoon, and again, we were given a complimentary dessert to celebrate our return! I really cannot say enough good things about Tony's. I only wish we had more days to spend at the World so we could fit in another meal there on this trip! :thumbsup2

We liked it better than Crystal Palace- lot's better. The theming is adorable and the service was awesome. Our server stayed in character (Italian Mama) the whole time. We don't like most of the TS restaurants at parks (except Epcot) but this one we'd absolutely recommend. Have fun!:thumbsup2

We ate lunch there this past April and it was wonderful! It was the only table service meal I didn't plan, we just walked up to the hostess on a whim. The waiting area had comfy seats and a TV playing a Disney movie. Not that we had time to get comfortable since our wait was less than 5 minutes. The theming was adorable and my daughter loved the Lady & Tramp fountain in the restaurant. DH got the calamari as an appetizer & I was super jealous. My mixed green salad was good, but it was no calamari! Our entrees (shrimp pasta & pasta primavera) were fabulous and they accommodated my daughter's desire for plain pasta with butter. I think hubby got cheesecake for dessert, DD got ice cream and I had tiramisu. We loved it enough that we're paying OOP for it when we go back in 17 days!

I wanted to add that our server was really sweet. She explained what we could get with our meal plan and how to make the best use of it.

The Shimp Pasta Sounds good, Can you tell me what kind of sauce it comes with? is there veggies mixed in with the sauce? thanks

Thanks to everyones nice comments, I am starting to get excited and a bit hungry.

We ate there in June and it was very good, IMO. I had Spaghetti with It. Sausage, DW had Spaghetti with Meatballs, DD had the cheese pizza, and DS had ravioli. All dishes were good, I know cause I tried em all:thumbsup2

I had to look it up. I couldn't remember the sauce well enough to describe it. I do remember that it was totally delicious. I loved the spinach tossed in but had them leave out the peppers. Here's the description from All Ears.net

Shrimp Pasta - Orecchiette pasta, roasted red peppers, and spinach tossed in a pesto-cream sauce $15.19
Pasta Primavera - grilled seasonal vegetables in garlic and olive oil topped with balsamic glaze and feta cheese $13.69

Loved it! The Italian food is wonderful, the wait staff very plesant. We went last year on the DDP and though we don't have the DDP this year, we're still going. My parents, DD and I all voted it a must do again. There were several birthday parties going on, and the whole place got into it. It was casual and a great place to relax and not feel rushed to eat and get out. It's one of those places you could go with a family or a nice couples dinner. Enjoy it, please!

Does anyone know where I can find picture of the inside of Tony's?

I get to pick one "special" thing to do on our next trip...and I am seriously considering picking this for dinner!

We went on our last trip and we loved the Lady and the Tramp theming. They even play the movie while you wait for your table. The food was very good, the wait staff was great.

I found a teeny tiny one. I was looking at my own personal ones because we took a bunch from inside there, but I can't seem to find the CD right now. I'll keep looking for you.

If the soup of the day is the butternut squash soup I highly recomend it. There was a curry flavor in it which was interesting for an italian restaurant, but it was very good. For my entre I had the steak and that was also very good, and instead of the side they had I got pasta instead and it was good as well!

My husband and I ate at Tony's last Sunday the 19th on the Dining Plan. It was in our top 2 favorite table service meals out of the 7 we had. (Dinner on the patio at the Rose and Crown Dining Room with Illuminations viewing was our other favorite.) Our server was great, even very nicely allowing my husband to change his appetizer after we had placed our order, offering to take a photo of the two of us, and frequently checking in to make sure we didn't need anything else. We both had the spaghetti which was great, and I even liked the meatballs which is really unusual for me. I absolutely loved the tiramisu for dessert. We will definitely return to Tony's next time!

We are looking forward to trying this on our next trip! It looks so cute.
How is the children's pizza? My ds will probably want to order this :)

We have always enjoyed Tony's, too! We've only had lunch (about 5 times), but this year my DH and I will be having dinner on our MVMCP night! We love the theming and also have had "autographs" from Lady and the Tramp. In addition, we once commented on how much we liked the Lady and the Tramp glass mug, and the waiter surprised us with a gift of one of them at the end of our meal! We've always experienced excellent service from the staff!..Also, be sure to look at the back of the restaurant for the lovely midnight blue 3-paned window with silhouttes of Lady and the Tramp and street scene. It's really easy to miss. We were sitting right in front of it, and didn't notice it until a dad brought his little girl to see it!

Hope you have a magical time on your trip!:cloud9:

I loved the atmosphere of Tony's, I was also quite impressed that they could make me a wheat free pizza ( and it was yummy). I can not have wheat and they were able to accomodate my dietary needs. In my book getting wheat free pizza in an Italian rest. is a big thumbs up.:thumbsup2

Now there's an important tip for me. I had no idea that we could request that at Tony's. Thanks for mentioning it.
