We are renting and wanted BCV, but ended up with BWV instead due to no availability. We are staying 5 nights VWL and moving for our last two nights.
I really wanted BCV for the pool, but since we have ended up with BWV I want to know something good about it. I have never ever thought of staying there.

Is there anyway a renter could ask Member Services to switch them to BCV if availability opens up? This is the last week in September. I know that probably the owner would have to ask, but I don't want to trouble him anymore. He has already been nice enough to reschedule our trip from December to September.

Why the concern over 2 nights. BWV is awesome. Great location and the pool is pretty good as well. You are not sacrificing anything by staying at the BWV over BCV. BWV has great entertainment right out the front doors...on the Boardwalk...your not going to get that at VWL or BCV. You'll love it.

The BWv are awesome. I prefer them over BCV. The only thing your giving up is SAB, but you could always go to a water park if swimming is that important. Have a good trip!!

I really LOVE this resort (BWV). Please take some time to read this thread that I started back in Feb 2006 for more specifics (and pictures) on my feeling on that resort. It addresses the BCV as well.

You can MOST DEFINITELY have the member you rented from call MS on your behalf and waitlist for BCV for those two nights. Chances are, the waitlist would come through. I am fairly confident, however, that the member would need to be the one to make the call. You could always try yourself first if you wanted to. FYI, it's super easy to be put on the waitlist so you won't be causing the member too much grief. At 30 days out, the member will need to call and put you back on the waitlist (if it hasn't come through by then). My understanding is that the waitlist starts all over at 30 days out. Oh yeah, you might want to have the member also put you on the waitlist for a Boardwalk View at the BWV (if he's booked preferred view...it's the same # of points). You can waitlist for both at the same time and take whichever comes up first or whichever suits you most.

Have a great trip!

While the pool at SAB is very cool, it is really difficult to watch kids in. Luna Park (the BWV pool) has one of the best pool slides on property - and unlike BCV the big slide can be used by kids wearing lifejackets (that wasn't allowed when I was a BCV - may have changed - SAB does have slides for smaller kids as well).

Really, the only difference is the decor and the pool. BCV is a little closer to Epcot and BWV is a little closer to MGM.

We loved Boardwalk Villas so much we will probably buy an addon there. The nighttime entertainment was so much fun, and the rooms were just fine. There's tons of stuff to just walk around and look at, too. You'll have a ball! :goodvibes

Please accept this "advice" in the spirit it is offered...(tongue in cheek)...BWV is great, because you will get lots of excercise walking those LOOOOOONNNNG halls and walking to MGM and Epcot! ;) :teeth:

Diane - thanks for the "advice"!!!! How do you know I need more exercise?? LOL

By the way, I love your house. How about having us over sometime?

The BW views in my opion are the best in Disney.

:cool1: Jellyrolls, Boardwalk Bakery, ESPN - gorgeous resort, great cm's, walking distance to LeCellier, heel toe beats waiting for a bus to get to the "lobby" :confused3 Just kidding.... I LOVE OKW TOO!

You may be spending two nights that wasn't first choice, and love it enough to make it so the next time around....Enjoy your stay - good luck in your decision - oh, the turkey sandwiches at the pool bar are really really good

BWV's are our first choice, BCV's an VWL are our second choices. The Screen Door, Boardwalk Bakery, ESPN Zone, easy access to EPCOT and Disney/MGM Studios, the awesome lobby and outside porch with the rocking chairs, the evening entertainment on the boardwalk... You're in great shape!!!

Our stay at BWV was great...We had a BW View, so we were close to everything....I want to go back...I can't really say the same for our BCV stay(yea the pool is nice...but I was happy at the clown pool too). Even though everyone touts how close BCV is to Epcot ...BWV is not that much further. Besides I like to take the boat(but I have walked). I found the shopping better-and there just seemed to be a lively spirit.

Well Boardwalk is our home and we love it there. We've had some awesome views and have always enjoyed our time there. We love the extra exercise of walking to Epcot and MGM and yes sometimes our rooms have been a bit from the Elevators (last June our room was as far as you could get). We love everything available at the Boardwalk. We've done a fancy meal at Flying Fish and the next night picked up hot dogs at the stand on the Boardwalk. Enjoy your two nights there.

Sure, we can go to the MOA too!

Thanks! Sounds like fun. You know I'm an empty nester with too much time on my hands. LOL

:cheer2: BWV cheerleader, here!
We LOVE this resort--from the feel of the boards under my feet to Luna Park Pool, Leaping Libations and the amazing location---it NEVER disappoints. We're taking 10, yep--count 'em 10 family members "home" with us on our June trip and CAN'T WAIT!
ENJOY!
