Hi Everyone!
This is my first post but I have been reading the boards for about 8 months. Here's my dilemma. I am 51 years old and DH is 56. We had been to WDW many times while our sons were growing up (last time was 1990) and most recently this past June with our 10 yo niece. That trip sparked a renewed interest in the World which had lain dormant for 16 years! Now I'm hooked again and am planning a trip for just DH and myself for early Dec. Question is are we alone? I know couples in their 20's and 30's go without kids but over 50? We have always gone in the summer because of kids in school so this will be a first for Christmas time and cooler temps. I'm looking forward to a leisurely walk through the parks and resorts without rushing from one ride to the next, enjoying the lights and decorations and the little things we have always missed. Its just kind of embarrassing at our age to tell people we are going to Disney World for our 33rd wedding anniversary. Any opinions?
Sandy

Twenty years ago DH and I visited WDW and we decided to move down here. The main reason being, all the older couples walking around hand-in-hand. The romantic little devils convinced me that there was really something in the Florida drinking water.
), took pictures with the characters, did a couple of character meals. We have been going twice a year since 1998
& always have a great time! Don't make being in your 50's seem like you are too old to enjoy WDW or any other place you might decide to go! It's all about the two of you being together & doing what you want, when you want! Go and have fun! That's what it's all about. My DH & I just concentrate on each other & do everthing we enjoy at Disney. (You shouldn't go feeling embarrased or worrying what other people might think. Trust me when you are at Disney no one is paying attention or pointing fingures saying look at those little older people, just the two of them without children. Everyone is there for the same thing, to have a terrific time)
My DH & I went about 4 years ago before Christmas & it was beautiful. (We went to Mickey's X-mas party at MK one night, it was great
