Tell me if I am missing something

Disney is aware of this practice and you will need to make sure you use the room to ensure occupany and yes for free dining all have to be present to check in to validate the free dining.

I would check the prices and make sure it is worth it, I agree it seems like to much hassle. Also be sure you are careful about the use of the room as said Disney is not fond of this practice.

I know some will ask why, why because they would rather the room be booked by someone that actually wants and needs it and plans to stay there.

I don't really see how Disney could do anything about it- regardless of them not liking it. The person's paying for the room, it's their room as long as it's paid for. I really don't see any legal standing for them saying/doing anything about someone paying for a room and not using it at all.

Unless I'm missing something?

IMHO, I think it's a bright idea if it'll save the OP money.

It's a great idea if it works out to saving them money. Everything is legit since they're paying for the room and tickets and if they don't feel like driving back to the condo they have a place on property to crash.

I remember someone talking about doing this last year or the year before. I remember that someone mentioned that there was a problem with Mousekeeping reporting that no one was in the room and their reservation was canceled. I think this actually happened to someone but can't remember for sure.

Does anyone else remember this? I know I read about it but I just can't remember the details and what happened.

Well I can fix that. Go to the room, hang the do not disturb sign on the door and leave. I would go check out to make sure that nothing got put on my room charge card in error.

I was lurking on this thread and thought I would add one thing from my experience.I have done free dining for the last two years and have never had everyone there at check in.I think if it saves money then go for it.I agree that it would be a great place for midday breaks and that was a good idea about the DO NOT DISTURB sign.:thumbsup2
