I read Couponing to Disney's run down on her 2013 Disney savings and she was able to get a $50 Landry card for 67,000ish points (Rainforest/T-Rex) on MyPoints. I am Bzz agent so I earn mypoints here and there, but I can fathom how I can earn enough to save up for even a $25 Landry card at the rate of earnings that I am on.

Any tips? I printed coupons there today and plan on using them. I am not sure if I can get referrals. TIA

Yes, the numbers are off, it doesn't take that many points :goodvibes I can usually get a $50 card of some sort each year and I just click through my emails, fill out the surveys (which I rarely ever qualify for so I just get 10 points), get the points from shopping, really nothing special. I do a lot of my shopping online but much of it is from Amazon now so it doesn't add up as quickly as it used to! I get things from Buzzagent too but that doesn't add up to much since it's just the surveys, they rarely contact me for an actual Buzz. You can also go on MyPoints and fill out the little sidebar surveys about car insurance and stuff like that to get 5 points. They have a lot of those.

Every once in a while, I'll get a Bonus Email with an offer for extra points for buying gift cards. They're mostly movie and restaurant GCs but I give them to my college-age kids for birthdays and holidays.

I click through every bonus email and do the surveys. I don't do much shopping thru Mypoints because I've found that Ebates is usually better (and pays in cash).

They also have a new search engine (uses both yahoo! and google) that doesn't require you to download their shopping toolbar. You get 100 points each month when you do 41 or more searches.

Print and use the coupons.com coupons through Mypoints. You get 10 points per coupon printed and redeemed.

The newest version of Mypoints' website has a ticker in the upper right corner that tells you how many points you have and how much they are worth. Some rewards cost more points per dollar than others, but this ticker is pretty accurate for most redemptions.

Many rewards programs are now giving points or cash back for shopping certain Amazon categories. Mypoints doesn't but Ebates does! :thumbsup2

One way I seem to rack up some MyPoints is ordering through Office Depot. You get 1000 points for spending $100. (Other point levels too up to 4000 pts.) So if you need to order ink cartridges, etc. for your home, I think it isn't a bad deal.

I recommend buying the gift cards for both gifts and items you are all ready buying. Right now there are 35 different gift cards you can buy in the Mypoints store for varying amounts and point levels...entertainment to restaurants to stores to hotels to common stops (CVS, Kohls, Barnes and Noble, Kmart). The cards come fast and the points credit fast.

Remember that they hold the points for a month.

Keep an eye out for special emails with extra points for gift cards. I bought a $15 Chili's card and got 1000 points (they normally give 250 points).

oops, I added a zero on the figure, sorry- typo.

So it sounds like I need to browse through the shopping section and see where the offers are for big points and coordinate my shopping.

Thanks. I admit, I have never done Ebates. I keep seeing deals posted with Ebates on the web, but I never seem to sign up.
