Tell me about your success moving FPs up...

I have moved around FP+ that I obtained at the in-park kiosk while I was at the park. I didn't do exactly what you are trying to do, but I did move things around before and after using FP+. I had gotten Expedition Everest for about 6pm. I was able to move it about 2:30pm when we had gotten to the park about 1:30pm. I was also able to switch out Primevil Whirl for Safari. I did some moving around at MK too while in the park for Space Mountain and Buzz. These were all done in the afternoons. Epcot and DHS seem to be hard due to the lack of FP+ rides.

My experience last fall was close to Ktlm. I could move, but it would give me odd times, later than what I wanted. After swapping an experience and winding up with something much later, I went to a kiosk and miraculously was able to get an earlier time that had not shown up for me on the app. I think the app selects limited times, not all available times. But, Maybe it's been fixed since Aug-Sept.

EARLY I had no problems in the park, but later on for better attractions forget it you were stuck with that time!

One time on the app I switched it but it didn't go through for whatever reason and the CMstill let me in the attraction on a different time.

You will have no problem moving some rides, but as you are specifically asking about Soarin' (which is why I posted my experience above) the odds of moving it are slim to none. I think that's the part a lot of responses are missing.
