I'm in the market for a good, scratch that... GREAT photo printer! I have a new Minolta DiMAGE Z1 and I plan to print all of my own photos. Photos that I get from Sam's Club or Super Walmart are terrible, and I want to print great photos. I hope to buy a printer within the next 2 weeks, during the tax-free weekends, and I need HELP!! If you have a GREAT ;) photo printer, or even a bad one  , please post your experiences here!

Thanks for your help!!

I have a Canon i320, but I use Snapfish.com for all my printing needs. They use Kodak processing and kodak paper, which is the only thing I will use.

I just bought one of these. Very Nice. Lifelike colors on 8X10 from my Feb trip. I use a 5.0 megapixel sony digital camera.

well, we have an all-in-one (HP office-jet 6110), that is obviously much more than a photo printer, but it does such a good job (if you use the photo paper and photo ink) that my family thought i had some family photos i scanned and reprinted done professionally! :o :p

Canon i950...

fantastic quality prints
borderless up to 8.5 x 11
6 individual ink tanks (just replace what you run out of)
prints VERY fast (compared to most HP and Epson)

on the downside, I've heard that the inks can be prone to "gas fading" I've had the printer for a year and haven't had any noticeable fading even with prints left exposed. Another negative is that certain types of paper (notably Kodak) do NOT work with this printer. The printer simply lays down ink too fast for Kodak paper to absorb it properly. But there are several alternatives to Canon paper (pricey) -- Office Depot paper works great.
