Tell me about your experience at Chefs de France...

We are looking to try a new restaurant at Epcot and thinking of Chefs de France. Did you like the food? What were your favorite dishes. Can you get the price fixe meal with app on the dining plan? We love apps. Also, is Remy going to continue being there? We are going in Oct and the kids would love that. If you hated Chefs what would you recommend instead? We have gone to Teppan Edo and Marrakesh in the past and love to ethnic foods. Thanks for your input!

We really loved Chefs. We did get the prix fixe meal. Lots of food and really good. The bread was yummy. The service was good and the atmosphere wonderful. Remy was there. But I think he is only there for lunch. I believe I read on here that he is done by 4. (But don't quote me on that exact time.) It was fun. I strongly reccomend Chefs.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch there last Saturday. We weren't on the dining plan, so I can't help you there, but Remy was definitely in attendance. (And so cute.) We also got to see Serveur Amusant out the glass windows, so there was no chance of being bored.

My husband had the escargot and chicken and pepper crepe, and loved both. My son got the prix fixe meal, with onion soup, the macaroni (which was so good we kept stealing bites from him), and the creme brulee. I wasn't that hungry, so I went with the tomato and goat cheese flatbread, which I thought was tasty. (If you're expecting something really cheesy, though, you might be disappointed.)

We would totally go back for lunch -- and Remy. I've heard mixed things about dinner, though.

I am almost positive the prix fixe menu at Chefs de France is included in the dining plan. Considering the lobster bisque is my favorite dish there, that's a good thing.

Remy is still around, but only at lunch. He does not appear at dinner. I have always wondered why. Perhaps because Disney wants to keep a formal authentic French atmosphere at night?

I like Chefs de France. I am not rushing to eat there, but it's definitely worthwhile. The setting is lovely, especially near the giant windows. I particularly enjoyed the profiteroles for dessert along with the soup for an appetizer. None of the entrees have jumped out at me, but I haven't had a bad meal there, either.

Yes, you can get the prix fixe meal with the appetizer in it when on the DDP at both lunch and dinner. We have done it several times.

We just had lunch there in March and it was delicious. We all got the prix fixe meal with the Onion Soup, Quiche Lorraine and Profiterole dessert. Yum!

At dinner, I like the short ribs.

We had dinner at Les Chefs in 2008 and we all loved it. The best entree was the steak au poivre. We also LOVED the mac and cheese and the onion soup. We were on the DDP, but we ordered a la carte and paid OOP for our appies. I can't remember if what we wanted wasn't available on the prix fixe, or if they didn't offer it for dinner. The problem with it is that the choices are very limited, and I THINK, at least at that time, it was only offered on the lunch menu.

I like it for dinner more than for lunch. I thought the lunch menu was pretty cheese heavy, so I didn't care for it. A little is okay, but for all three courses, it's a bit much. Dinner was really good, though. We have always had really good service there as well.

We have eaten at Le Chefs a couple of times and really enjoyed it. The last time was in 2005 for dinner. We are going back for lunch (want to meet Remy) and we are very excited about it. The pre fixed meals look awesome for the price

When I made our dinner reservations I was told Remy is there 3 times a day. The last time being 5:20 p.m. Has this changed?

We have done lunch and dinner here several times. We prefer the lunch. The quiche and onion soup are great. I had the rotess. chick. at dinner last time and the potatoes were equal to hashbrowns (not good). The filet was better but no comparison to LeCellier. Also tried almost all of the desserts and the banana/choc./coconut?? one has been the only one we cared for.

Dinner: Crowded, noisy, decent food, not great. Good, but not the best option in WDW by any means.

Going to try lunch next month instead.

We had Chefs back in May 2008 for lunch and loved it. We were not on the dining plan. DH had the lobster bisque, and I had the French onion soup. Both were AWESOME. Then we shared the Les Tarts des Chefs (original flatbreads) a la Flamme Alsacienne - Alsace specialty - creme fraiche, onion and bacon. It was rich and very, very yummy. It was a perfect sized lunch for us, and very affordable. Hope to head back this year and see Remy! (I've heard he's there until about 5:00 PM most days but not at all on Sundays.)

Spent 10 days in Disney over the summer, had a TS everyday and it was the best meal we had there out of all of them. We were there for dinner, had a 5:20 ADR to see Remy, were seated right on time but he never showed. Still the dinner was great, everyone was happy which almost never happens.

i've dined at chefs twice and enjoyed it both times... but i don't find it to be "ethnic" food in the way that teppan edo or marakesh are... it's standard restaurant fare, imo, w/some french influences...

the downside of the restaurant is the settees are way too close together and make for a very crowded experience, unless you really enjoy eavesdropping

It definitely is because I had it last year and I agree that the lobster bisque is fabulous.

We have reservations for August which will be the 4th year in a row we have eaten at Chefs so you can tell what we think of it.

It is a beautiful restaurant and the food is fabulous. The service can be a bit reserved but if you can get your server to open up a bit they are quite friendly especially if you can speak a bit of French to them. Luckily, our two boys have enough French from school to impress the servers and get them talking.

No, I didn't write a review, but as for the suggestions - you have to order the apple crepes for dessert! Everything was delicious, but this was outstanding! We were on the deluxe ddp and ate at a lot of signatures, but this dessert was better than all of them!

So my sister & I went to WDW in March to celebrate her 30th birthday. It was her first trip. She picked Les Chefs de France for her birthday meal. Of all my visits to WDW with my family, I'd never eaten there. Things started out well - we were seated promptly at our ADR time. We were seated by the big windows, so we could people watch as we ate. Our server took quite awhile to greet us and take our drink orders. When he did arrive, he said something about a shift change or something. I had a very difficult time understanding him. As my dear sister would say later in the evening, "I know we're from the South and he's from France, but we've gotta' meet somewhere in the middle!" It wasn't just our Southern ears because I had no trouble understanding other servers around us.

I orderd the Prix Fixe meal. I ordered the salad, but was brought the lobster bisque. That was fine because I was wishing I'd ordered that instead anyway. It was delicious! The bread was good too. I had a glass of champagne ($16) and my sister had a $10 glass of wine. (This is important later) For our entrees, my sister had the skewered shrimp, scallops, and mahi-mahi. She declared it devine. I had the macaroni and cheese. It's not that I'm not an adventerous eater, that mac & cheese just sounded amazing. And it was!

At the very beginning, when our server asked if we were on the DDP & we replied yes, he wanted our entire order. I usually don't like that, but we gave him our entire order - desserts and all. As we were finishing our entrees, our server comes back and asks if we want dessert. I reply that we'd already placed our order with him. He said, "Ok, so I'll get you dessert menu" HUH?! Ok, so we place our order again. I want the protifioles (sp) and my sister wanted the crepes. He repeated our order with two of the same thing! No, we want different things!

Now comes the bill. It's not ours - different food and there is no alcohol included. We bring it to his attention. He brings back another bill that has the correct food order, but it has my wine priced at $10 instead of $16. I'm not one to try to get something for nothing, but mind you, we've been seated in this restaurant for 2-1/2 hours by now! I tell my sister to just leave it alone. So, after our DDP credits are deducted, I sign the room charge for our wine and the tip (and I didn't leave 20% as I normally do!). We thought all was well and done. The food had been good, and we had an experience to laugh about. The day we check out and get a print out of our room charges, the charge for the wine and tip aren't there. It's 6:00 in the morning, and we're about to be picked up by DME. At this point, I just said forget it. I really figured it would show up as a separate charge on my credit card in a couple of days. But it never came through. We tried our best to pay the right amount more than once, but still couldn't pay them what we owed!

I don't know if I want to give it another try or not. I'll have to think about it!
