Tell me about your experience at Chefs de France...

Love Chefs de France. It's probably our overall favorite restaurant in the World. We always go for dinner, but can't wait to try it for lunch next month. Never had bad service or a bad meal.

We tried Chefs for the first time last month. We went with our three boys for lunch - primarily because our youngest loves Remy. Not only did he love Remy, but we absolutely loved Chefs! Food was great, atmosphere was relaxing (great table right by the window!) and the CMs were outstanding. From the manager to our server to Remy's "handler" - one of the best WDW restaurant experiences we've had!

I really appreciate all the comments about lunch vs. dinner - we'll stick with lunch again next time for both Remy and atmosphere/lower crowds.

Great to hear you had a terrific experience there! We can't wait for our lunch ADR in June. We really would love to meet Remy! So great you got to meet him!! :yay::yay:

As for Remy, can anyone confirm the times he comes out? Is the 20 part the hour correct? We have a 12:00 pm ADR for lunch.

I know everyone has different tastes, but I can't help but comment on this one. When I was younger (say about twenty years ago or so...but who's counting?) I had a meal there that was so wonderful, I still remember it with great fondness. So despite some rather lackluster (even negative) reviews, I went ahead with my reservation for Chefs. I also have to say that I really love French food.

And it was the absolute worst meal of the trip. My husband had the steak, which was fine, just a steak. The potatoes were pretty bland. We had the alsatian tart and escargot for appetizers. They were both OK, though the tart looked disturbingly like the one I buy at Trader Joe's and didn't taste much different. I ordered the short ribs, which came with a glob of overcooked, stuck together fettucine that was pretty much inedible. There some "mushrooms" served with the shortribs that looked and tasted like they came out of a can.

I actually sent it back and got mac and cheese instead. I love real, adult macaroni and cheese and this was ok.

Dessert was good, but you could get that for a lot less money at the French bakery behind Chef's!

We loved Tutto and had a wonderful, fresh-tasting delicious meal there. I will not darken Chef's doors again.

That said, this was just my experience this time.

We had lunch here and it was great! Our waiter (can't remember his name :sad2:) was just the sweetest thing. My boyfriend had the quiche lorraine & he enjoyed his. I ordered the mac 'n' cheese and boy was it yummy & cheesy! And HUGE! I couldn't finish mine so BF finished it for me. And I agree with tinacaplan, definitely get dessert at the French bakery! It's a HUNDRED times better! Dessert at Chefs I didn't like- we got the profiteroles and they were drowned in room temperature chocolate sauce and the dough tasted rubbery. That was our only disappointment, and the fact that the tables are so close together.
