Tell me about Whispering Canyon...

Party of 9 going and we have 3 young boys in the group...we were wondering what you DISers think of the place?

It's great for kids. Alot of interaction and several impromptu activities for the kids. We took a 4 year old and he loved it. Great for adults to my DS who will be 21 in June still loves it.

It's a little loud and an interactive type of meal. At one point kids get wooden pony sticks to ride around the restaurant and people at the tables wave napkins above their heads. There's lost of "antics" that go on with the servers. For example, if you ask for ketchup they'll make a big annoucement and then people get up and deliver their ketchup bottles to whomever needs it - you could end up with a table full of ketchup bottles. Dinner is "louder" than breakfast. We really like the "All You Can Eat Skillet" and already have breakfast ADRs there twice during our stay.

We've been a few times, and it is my DH's favorite TS restaurant (he loves the skillet). My oldest son loves the milkshakes, and my youngest son loves the entertainment. Dinner tends to be loud, but our family enjoys it!

It's the place my DS13 has chosen to go for his 14th birthday. He doesn't participate in the activities but he likes watching everybody else do it! We enjoy the food, too.

Whispering Canyon Cafe is rowdy, boisterous and fun. The attraction is the atmosphere more than the food. The servers are playful, and the diners seem to match their enthusiasm. I don't particularly enjoy the style of food, so my family typically doesn't eat there, but it is a good option for carnivores with young children.

i think you should go there.they have a lincoln log play area for kids, yummy food and a veiw of the lobby.

I love this place. The WL is one of my favorite resorts. So calming. The food for us was also outstanding!!


The Lincoln logs though are hit and miss. Last time we took our son we had to pry him away from them for our ADRs and it made for a very.. uh, interesting meal.
