Tell me all about Via Napoli - this restaurant is new to me and I'm considering it for our August trip. Where is it? Good food? Ambiance? Is it considered table service or quick service?

The only question I can answer is the last one. It's table service, though I recall seeing something about them testing out a limited CS window during peak periods -- not sure if it ever happened or how well it went over.

Yes, they have a pizza window outdoors that is open in busier times. They do not serve the same pizza outside as they do inside. I'm not sure if a CS credit is accepted at the pizza window but I think it is.

The pizza is going to be better than the pizza pretty much anywhere else at WDW (with the possible exception of the kids' pizza at Sanaa). The pizza ovens are amusing to look at, if that counts for some ambiance points. Otherwise, it looks like a normal, moderately-priced restaurant, even though the prices are not moderate. The service was okay when I was there in November.

Best pizza in Disney hands down.

It is also the closest thing you will find to an authentic Italian pizza that you could expect to get when visiting Naples.

Should read: "It is also the closest thing you will find at WDW to an authentic Italian pizza that you could expect to get when visiting Naples."

While the pizza is good, and certainly done in the Neopolitan style, it certainly is not the closest thing in the U.S. to a pie in Naples.

Who mentioned the entire US? Of course I was talking at WDW.

There are 3 reviews in my Nov 10 thread and 1 review in my Feb 11 thread. Tons of pics in all of them

Sorry. But your first post was ambiguous. It started with the statement that it was the best pizza at Disney. The second sentence began: "It is also..." The word "also" implies that you were now discussing something other than, or in addition to Disney. It's fixed now.

No... I was discussing Disney the entire time so it really wasn't ambiguous and besides it is an opinion.

"Also" in this case means likewise so it didn't imply anything except I was continuing a thought at Via Napoli which is located at WDW.

:confused3

We went a few weeks ago and loved it! The service was perfect and the food was excellent! I would recommend it to anyone and will definitely be going back the next time we are in WDW!

My DH and I had a reservation last October. We were really impressed with the ambiance - it was really fun to check out the pizza ovens. As other posters have mentioned, it's TS if seated inside.

The service and food were both excellent. Our favorite was the personal pizza with the mushrooms. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

We ate there last Thursday...it was wonderful. The food at ViaNapoli was delicious. The atmosphere was very nice, albeit a bit on the noisy side. Service was wonderful!!! I would suggest making an ADR if you want to give it a try. There were people being turned away when we got there.

We ate there in January and loved it. The food was very good as was the service. The restaurant ambience was nice as well. Definitely a thumbs up from us!

Love it! Especially the margarita pizza. Very pretty interior- lots of light and warmth.

We had dinner there this past August.

We shared the Arancini - fried saffron risotto balls filled with mozzarella and meat ragu - They were "meh"..dry, not a ton of flavor, could have used a lot more of the yummy red sauce they were served on.

DH had the Quattro Stagioni - eggplant, artichokes, prosciutto, mushrooms. He loved it - thought the ingredients were very fresh and high quality. Very thin crust, not a ton of cheese. He enjoyed it.
I had Tortino di Melanzane - eggplant - traditional preparation with tomato sauce, parmesan and mozzarella, served with spaghetti torta. The eggplant was fantastic. Really yummy, velvety texture to the eggplant - no heavy breading - lots of fresh basil and mozzarella. The pasta, well was a little odd. It was served like a pasta pie - not a ton of flavor and very dry.

Kids LOVED their meals - the salad with the lemon dressing was a huge hit with our kiddos - they both enjoyed their pasta and pizza.

For dessert we shared:
Tiramisu - Mascarpone cream, espresso coffee, lady fingers, and chocolate - HEAVENLY. and Zeppole di Ricotta - Ricotta cheese fritters, served with whipped cream and chocolate sauce - which we didn't love at all - very heavy with an odd aftertaste.

We would definately go back there again - but I would order something different. :)

OMG We were there last Nov and the Zeppole were fantastic, they were called Zeppole Di Katarina so maybe they were differant!? I call them little puff balls of goodness! They were so good I made my sister find a recipe on line and make them for Thanksgiving. She did a pretty good job:woohoo:
We liked the pizza too. Didn't try anything else.
