We finally decided where to go for spring break, (ie warm place vs cold) and was able to get a cash room through CRO for March 23-29 at Vero. What type of weather can we expect? Will it be fairly warm, what about rain? Also, do you have any suggestions for golf courses. It seems like there are a lot of activities for the kids, but what about the adults? We're flying into West Palm Beach so any info. about that would be appreciated also. Thanks in advance. Gayle

I would expect it to be warm, but it might be windy. Check accuweather within 10 days of your stay.

We were there 3/11 though 3/14 this year. It was great weather - low to mid 70's. It was definately windy but they were experiencing the remnants of a blizzard from the Northeast so that could have accounted for that. There were riptide warnings for the ocean so we only went in up to our knees or so and stuck with the pool for swimming. One of the days it was a little chilly for swimming - but the kids still went in and had a great time. At night - a light sweater or sweatshirt was perfect - during the day shorts/bathing suits. One great thing - you don't have to worry about the no-see-um bugs that bite you like crazy in the summer months.

The activities were the usual - which was plenty for our group with kids ranging from 3 to 14. Everyone had a ball and our family is dying to go back with us again next year.

Some examples of what the kids participated in:

3 and 6 year olds - bubble time, chalk art, Unbirthday Party

9, 11, 13 & 14 year olds - rented boogie boards and skimmed the surf on the beach, did a cell painting class, rented bikes, played basketball, played soccer, did mini-golf and enjoyed the heck out of the waterslide
