Tell me about upgrading tickets

I know this can be done - but I know nothing about it - how long do we have to upgrade them? They were just regular 1 day passes we had when we went pack in July.

As long as they are not a "length of stay" ticket, Stars and Stripes, from SoG for example, WDW tickets do not expire. You take them to guest services. There are guest services areas to the right of the entrance of Epcot as you enter towards Future World, and there is a guest services area to the left of the entrance of Studio. They will give you the current value of the one day pass and you can purchase whatever number of days you need at the current cost minus the value of your ticket. I have done it several times before. Its really no hassle.

Sorry - must not have asked my question correctly. the tickets are all used (all except 1 ticket has 1 day left) but my question is about those used tickets - can't I use that $ towards a year pass or something like that?

Unless you paid for the no expire option, they expired on the last day, even if unused.

You can't do anything with them. They have been used and are past the time-frame to upgrade them which is 14 days after first use.

I'm pretty sure that's a no go. I believe that you have to upgrade them while you are there. If not then, at least within a reasonable time frame. I doubt they would consider July a reasonable time frame. Have you tried going to the WDW website and contacting Guest Relations? They might be able to give you a definitive answer. You never know.

It's 14 days.

The previous posters are correct. For expiry MYW tix, they expire within 14 days of the first use. They can not be upgraded past that point.

If, however, you had gone in to Guest Services on the first day of use and asked to upgrade, you would have been able to pay for the difference between what you wanted and what you paid (say the difference between a 7 day MYW ticket and a 1 day MYW ticket).

You will need to buy all new tix for your trip.

AHH - THANKS! I knew there was a timeframe - but I thought it was longer than 14 days! Must have been wishing it was 14 MONTHS!
