Tell me about Universal Studios gift cards

So I may end up with a 830 dollar Universal Studio gift card.
Can I attach it to the app and use it for mobile ordering? Are all restaurants still allowing walk ups or are you restricted to mobile ordering at most?
Do most carts and stores utilize the gift cards?
Just wondering if the gift card is the best way to go.
They will issue 4 of us the difference plus 20 % between a 3 park and a 2park premier pass for our upcoming 8 day trip.

I used UO gift cards last week in the park in the merch stores

We used them one day to pay off a room charge at front desk...took FOREVER.
Used them at the pool (Can't use them for the Cabana rental though), restaurants and merchandise areas.
Was under the impression that they couldn't be used for tip, but found out they could, which was very helpful.

Can't help the OP with mobile order questions as I have never done mobile food orders.

It IS a lengthy process. I use them to pay for my room, then just use the actual gift card to pay at restaurants rather than charge back to the room. I once used gift cards to pay for 3 rooms at RPR over Thanksgiving week. I went down 3 separate times so it didn't overwhelm the front desk doing them all at once, since my grocery store only sells $100 GC.
