I have never, ever heard of Tron :confused3

Anyway, I have been looking for a DS game for my DS 11. It came up in an Amazon search. Then I searched Tron and it also pulled up a movie. It looks kind of interesting - what is it? LOL

Here is the Wikipedia link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tron_(film)

Tron is a 1982 American action science fiction film produced by Walt Disney Pictures. It stars Jeff Bridges as the protagonist hacker Kevin Flynn (and his program counterpart inside the electronic world, CLU), Bruce Boxleitner as Tron (and Tron's "user", Alan Bradley), Cindy Morgan as Yori (and her "user", Dr. Lora Baines), and Dan Shor as Ram. David Warner plays all three main antagonists: the program Sark, his "user", Ed Dillinger, and the voice of the Master Control Program.
Tron was written and directed by Steven Lisberger, who has a distinctive visual style, as it was one of the first films from a major studio to use extensive computer graphics. Decades after it first came out, it has spawned a franchise consisting of a sequel film, multiple video games, comic books and a planned television series.

It's mostly a cult classic, and Disney's releasing a sequel this October.

Disney has a new, updated follow up movie coming out.

The original movie, even with its dated special effects, was ahead of its time and hard for the average person to understand, when it came out. I think it has become a 'cult classic', now, and the new movie is pretty highly anticipated by fans.

The movie is about the inner workings of a computer and the main character (Jeff Bridges, I think) gets sucked into one, finding it a brutal world, as I recall.

Really? Never heard of Tron? Well, it's hard to describe but essentially it's about a computer hacker who gets sucked into his computer. For it's time, the effects were pretty grounbreaking, though by today's standards one might consider it lame or dated. As the others said, it's something of a cult classic now. I am really looking forward to the release of the sequel!

Tron more importantly was a video game that was played by me in the 80's in high school at the arcade.

Also it was in Kingdom Hearts, I do believe. Might have had a reference there. I can't remember.

I forgot about the sequel. I guess I am forced to watch it eventually.
