Can anyone tell me about Trail's End Restaurant at Fort Wilderness? My DH and DS's will be fishing at the campground this summer, and I was trying to plan a TS meal for lunch so they could get some air conditioning during the hottest part of the day. We just didn't want to have to travel far. I thought about Trail's End, but the breakfast buffet looks so much better than the lunch menu. If the breakfast buffet is good, we will just have a late breakfast around 11:00. Can anyone give me any opinions of this restaurant?

OMG! We ate lunch there this last November and the chicken and waffles is to DIE for! Huge portion (unless you're big eaters I would recommend sharing) and really yummy. My friend had a Greek salad (she's better than me) and pronounced it delicious too.

I had the other 1/2 of my meal the next morning for breakfast!

My family ate there for lunch, which was ok, not too much to choose from, but we still got full. Dinner there that was da bomb!!! 22.99 as far as I know is still the price!! Breakfast I hear is good...will be staying there in March and will get to do breakfast! :O)

Trails End is a more laid back and casual atmosphere than most other TS dining locations. The quality of the food and service has always been very good. They usually give you a free 'to go' refill of your soft drink when you settle up your bill, which is an added bonus on a hot day.

I've never been for breakfast. Lunch used to be a buffet but went to an 'a la carte' menu in 2010. At $22.99, the dinner buffet is one of Disney's best kept secrets!

We always stay at the Wilderness Lodge and really like to walk on the trail between it and the Campground. We ate at Trail's End in September and it was delicious. We were there for dinner, though, but I would assume lunch would be just as good. There were alot of options and the buffet was kept hot and clean - actually, it's the only buffet we go to when at WDW. We don't like buffets, but make an exception for Trail's End because it seems very well kept. It's on our list for this year, too. I can't comment on the cost because we do the Dining Plan, but I think it is less than some of the other buffets on property. It's a fun atmosphere, too.

Dinner: Adults 22.99, kids 12.99

Are you getting this from the out of date allears website or were you just there in 2011? I just don't understand why the WDW site says 35.99. They must have raised their prices big time or it is a mistake.

We were there in September 2010. I have an Auntie who eats there about once a month, she is a retired Disney Cast Member, and this is her favorite place to take her grandson who eats like his entire abdomen and both legs have been converted to food storage.

Had the price jumped that much I assume I would have heard about it when talking to her, as we usually Dish Disney for at least a half an hour each call.

The Disney site says it is $35.99 and under. Well, in this case way under. I will give my Auntie a call and see if the Trails End has gone off the deep end, but I doubt it.

Auntie Confirms:

It is still the least expensive buffet on property, at 23 per head. The Disney Web Site lists it as a $$ restaurant which means between 15 and 35 for an adult.

Fear Not, you can still stuff yourself silly for a relatively low price, by Disney Pricing, at least.
