We are going to DLR next week and I am looking for information. Kathie has given me some great info on trading, I am just wondering what else I should know about trading there.

Unfortunately I will not be there on a thursday night for their planned trading events.

Anyone have any advice for me???
Michael

Hi Michael,

We were there during President's week but since my whole family was there I didn't have as much of a trading focus as I otherwise might. I can tell you that I rarely saw "serious" trading (I mean, people with books out) anywhere in the DL Parks, which surprised me. We also found lots and lots of DS pins on lanyards and supertrader vests, and every once in a while a DL rack pin.

Hopefully Charles will chime in, or someone who is more of an expert.

Don't miss Soarin' Over California...it's a cool ride!!

Barbara(Mad Strawberry) could probably be the best person with info but most traders are there on the weekend. They hang out by the Premiere Shop which is in Tomorrowland. Tables no chairs.

Other people will trade by Plaza Pavillion (near the AP renewal area). There they have tables and chairs.

The best day is Sunday morning -and then most people stay near Premier until it gets too warm (and even then, the die-hards stick around).

Then the masses will split off to other areas -most popular is the patio where the APs are sold. It is shady, and plenty of tables and chairs.

Fridays have been pretty slow (with exception to the designated pin trading night). Sats are hit or miss.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Diana

Sorry you will miss the Pintrading night on Thursday. They have been drawing a nice crowd. Email me ( MdStrwbery@aol.com) and let me know when exactly you will be there and I will make sure to come out and play. I love a reason to steal away to the park - like I need a reason! The great "Tink Tuesdays" brings alot of us out on the weekday, but otherwise like already said - Sunday is the best day.

Barb, we need a REASON to go to the parks??? :p

My reason: to escape reality ... and for the pins ... and to unwind ... and to trade pins ... and to ride rides (yes there are some) ... and to buy pins ... did I mention the pins???

Sundays are the best ... but if you arrange in advance, some of us will try to show up to put forth a pin trading welcome. :jester:

I think Michael is already on his way to the west coast. They left today!!

I'm sure they will have a great time. :D
