Tell me about The Plaza Restaurant in MK

We have a reservation at Tony's and also at The Plaza (both for lunch) at MK. My family is very picky and only likes basic American or American Italian food.

I'm leaning toward going to The Plaza. What's the ambiance like? Is the food good?

We love the Plaza for lunch. Less expensive then Tony's.

If you are on a meal plan Tony's will give you more $$'s spent for your TS credit.

We pay OOP - and the Plaza restaurant is our choice.

Ambience: Florida style with yellows and whites, ceiling fans. A/C, plain tables with comfortable chairs and booths. There are not alot of tables, so ADR's can be hard to get on a hot day.

What we like to eat:
Sandwiches served with choice of broccoli slaw, homemade chips or French fries
Add Soup of the Day $3.99 or Tossed Salad for $5.49

Angus Chuck Cheeseburger - served on a flour-dusted kaiser roll with lettuce, tomato, and onion. Choose from the following toppings: Cheddar, American cheese, Bacon, Grilled Mushrooms and Grilled Onions $13.99

Tuna Salad Sandwich - tuna salad with lettuce and tomato on freshly baked croissant $11.99

Plaza Club - smoked ham, turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise layered on toasted multi-grain bread $11.49

Off kids menu: Green salad, Grilled Chicken Sticks - with apple wedges, rice and BBQ sauce, Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies and Milk for $8.99

DRINKS:
Creamy Hand-Dipped Milkshakes $4.69

Ice Cream Floats (Made with Vanilla Ice Cream) Coke Classic, Diet Coke, Sprite or Root Beer $4.69

DESSERT:
The Plaza Restaurant Sundae - ice cream (your choice) with hot fudge, strawberry sauce, crushed pineapple, topped with whipped cream, chopped nuts and a cherry $4.99

We always have the DDP so the Plaza always seems not worth it for a TS credit, but I think the menu looks good. Just wondering-can you make a reservation and just get dessert? Do you need a reservation to do this?

Meatball Submarine - Meatballs, Caramelized Onions, and Marinara Sauce topped with Melted Mozzarella $11.99

Spaghetti - with choice of Meatballs or Sweet Italian Sausage with Marinara Sauce $16.99

Chicken Parmigiana - Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast with Marinara Sauce topped with Melted Mozzarella over Spaghetti $16.99

Baked Ziti - with Ground Beef, Ricotta, Mozzarella, and Marinara Sauce $13.99

DESSERT
Ice Cream Bomb - chocolate and vanilla ice cream covered in rich chocolate sauce $5.99

Tiramisu - espresso soaked lady fingers, whipped mascarpone and dark chocolate shavings $6.49

YES - make an ADR - then when you get to the podium - just say you would like dessert. They are wonderful to eat there!
Not a problem for Just Dessert - but please make an ADR - the tables are linited.

Tony's is absolutely disgusting. I wouldnt recommend anyone go there. It is far below chef boyadree, in MY personal opinion. Since your not on the DP, go to Plaza. The food isnt gourmet, but it is very tasty! And yes, they really do have the best fries in disney!!! I had the cheeseburger, so good!! Sundaes are incredible too.

IMO Plaza is a great lunch place. We are very picky too. They have a great turkey sandwich. I even like the bread, my sister almost couldn't eat because she was so preoccupied watching me eat something other than white bread! I agree the fries are great. Now I read they have housemde chips. YUMMMMY!
The place is too small and if you get the back room you better be prepared to meet new people. Once our server thought we were with the couple next to us because we were sitting THAT close! She asked the girl at that table for her order and then turned to me instead of her husband!!
