Tell me about the Oak Tavern???

Only place in the park i would ever go for turkey legs. if i want chicken or ribs i go to Thunder Falls if it is open. If not then Enchanted Oak is my second choice for these food types.

After eating at Mythos, we had planned to give Enchanted oak a try during our trip last week. After walking in and seeing the wooden bench's ,"picnic tables, cafeteria style meals, plus it was HOT, we headed right back to Mythos for another fantastic meal. With an exterior like EO, I guess we expected "more" when we walked in, and were then,disapointed. Sorry we didnt eat at EO, (they may have great food) but for our money.......we would rather eat somwhere air-conditioned where WE know the food and service was great. Never had a bad meal at Mythos!!
Try it, you will love it!

EO is airconditioned. We went in the heat of July last month and decided to return the following day for the exact same chicken and rib lunch. Once you sit down, you will notice how the interior of the oak is "carved out" up to the skylight. Sure, it's not Mythos, but it is very casually comfortable and the food is pretty good.

We loved the food & atmosphere (had merlin working the crowd ) on prior visit.

Late June this year, food was dried out (11:30 a.m. ) especially the corn & chicken - we were very disappointed. Chicken salad was the best of the lot. hope it was an off day.

Jurassic Terrace was fantastic same trip - ribs/chicken just right...yum!

I really like the Enchanted Oak and the atmosphere is great. You get a lot of food for the money so sharing isn't out of the question. There's nothing like eating inside a tree!

We always eat at The Enchanted Oak everytime we are at the parks, we have never had a bad meal there. I love the burgers and the corn on the cob. Give it a try!

As you can tell by Akdar's last pic, it looks like a giant funky tree, as you look closer you can see it looks like an olds man's face on the front, but it blends in with the tree to where it kinda makes you think that its part of the tree or something.

This place is very very cool, probably also one of the best bars in the park, if not the best. Casual dining, its not like Mythos to where its an expensive menu type restaurant, more casual, but the food is very very good.

This is my brother's must do for counter service. The food is great and they give nice size portions. They're more than enough to split.

So, we walked around to Enchanted Oak for dinner. It was pretty good. I got the chicken and ribsand the chicken very moist and tender. The corn muffin was a little "crispy", but nonetheless, yummy. My boys each got the cheeseburger and said they were very good....and large (DS finished his whole burger to my surprise!)

Love Enchanted Oak Tavern. Best counter service on property IMHO
The low light and cool air conditioning (low light and lack of lots of windows really helps) makes it a great place to rest and cool off.
