Tell me about the Jack Sparrow at MK

I have seen a few photos showing the pirates out in front of POC ride. I was wondering are they there most of the day? Do they pose for pictures? Just wondering what to expect. Thanks

There are shows at various times throughout the day, and no they do not pose for pictures.

The CMs working the entrance to PoC are pirate-garbed and sword-swinging. Lots of people stop to be photographed with one. Look for "Danger Bob" who is particularly piratey!

When I was there last month we never saw Jack. We went by the attraction several times throughout the day and rode it once after waiting for about an hour but I didn't see any character interactions or times posted about it. I guess it's luck of the draw.

Hi! So glad you asked about Jack Sparrow because I couldn't wait to tell everyone how AWESOME he was! Here is a picture from the Jack Sparrow we saw on Sunday morning. He was dead on! We knew the show was going on before we even saw it. We heard him talking and if you didn't know any better you'd think Johnny Depp was there! His voice and movements were unbelievable. Basically, there was a little roped off section and he makes some kids part of his crew and they sing Yo Ho Yo Ho. That's about all we stuck around to see but it was great.

BUT...yesterday morning (Wednesday) we passed by Pirates again and there was a different actor playing JS and he was not nearly as good.

We saw the very end of the show one day last week and then saw the whole thing on Friday (8/11). Here is a picture I took. I agree that the actor is dead on and the show was FANTASTIC!!! The other posters are right that the actors do not pose for pictures. It was funny the day we were there - Captain Hook was sneaking around behind the crowd and he was posing for some pics while the show was going on. VERY cute! I hope you catch the show and get to see Jack!!!

The showtimes for Capt'n Jacks Pirate Tutorial are 10:15, 11:20, 12:25, 2:15, 3:20 & 4:25.

The Captian does not "pose" for pictures (you know the authorities are looking for him ), you may catch him lurking around the area during the early part of the show for pictures from a distance. His assistant Mack will usually stop briefly for pictures if you ask after the shows.

Ok, this is definitely a must-see! I hope he is still around in September! willis37862--I know it might be a little difficult to carry 3 "Jacks" out of the park, but I live in East TN, too, and I would happily meet you wherever to pick up one of my own!
