Tell me about the Jack Sparrow at MK

My husband and I just got back from WDW on Aug.10. W spent 6 days in the parks. I decided I wanted to go back to the MK just to get a chance to see Jack Sparrow. Well, we asked what time the show was and the cast member in front of the potc ride told us that they missed thier first show and she was not sure if they were going by the same schedule or moving the times up. She then proceeded to give me a very vague timeframe like 45 to an hour and a half. W e went one time when we assumed it would happen and cast members really did not know what to tell us, but it was suppose to happen within 15 min. Well, we waited and slightly disappointed, we went to other parets of the park. At 4pm, my husband and I decided to leave MK, but he asked me if I wanted to pass by potc one more time, and we did. About 10 to 15 min later, we saw the show. It was not bad. The guy did a pretty goog impersonation. I don't think he had a beard or mustache or maybe I was seeing things or the makeup could have melted off, maybe that made me feel like he was'nt the perfect 10. He was preety goog. When you walk up to the potc ride, you will see a wooded gate to your left where it looks like cast members walk in and out of( this is coming from the direction of the tiki statues spitting out water) you will then see a rock wall where you can sit to the left of the gate. Follow that wall and you will com to a little shack that has 2 drinking fountains. Between where the wall starts and the little shack is where the show takes place. It is funny because while we were waiting, captain hook and shmi( if you remember who he is) kept walking in and out of that little wooden gate. I did see peter pan and wendy as well.

Ok, this is definitely a must-see! I hope he is still around in September! willis37862--I know it might be a little difficult to carry 3 "Jacks" out of the park, but I live in East TN, too, and I would happily meet you wherever to pick up one of my own! :thumbsup2
I will see what I can do. :teeth:

For those that asked I don't know how long they will have the pirate show. I will let you know if its still there when we go next month.

I sure hope they extend it!!!

Okay so here I am purposely setting out to make ya'll jealous. While dd and I were are Disneyland yesturday we were able to meet, get an autograph and take a picture with Captain Jack Sparrow. :cool1:

He was very good and throughly entertaining. His beard needed a little help but his voice and movements were very well done. DD wanted to keep him all to herself and she has never even seen the movies - ofcourse she did tell all about her moms facination with everything pirate! :rotfl2:

So, I know that DL normally gets pushed aside to WDW with WDW addicts I could not resist showing that there is at least one plus to DL!

Oh I am not sure how to post photos - If someone can tell me how I will post the picture and autograph!

Hi! So glad you asked about Jack Sparrow because I couldn't wait to tell everyone how AWESOME he was! Here is a picture from the Jack Sparrow we saw on Sunday morning. He was dead on! We knew the show was going on before we even saw it. We heard him talking and if you didn't know any better you'd think Johnny Depp was there! His voice and movements were unbelievable. Basically, there was a little roped off section and he makes some kids part of his crew and they sing Yo Ho Yo Ho. That's about all we stuck around to see but it was great.

BUT...yesterday morning (Wednesday) we passed by Pirates again and there was a different actor playing JS and he was not nearly as good.

Oh god NO!!!!!!! If I see anything resembling Jack- my DD will NEVER get me away from him :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: shhh don't tell her!

It is not bery often that I have been able to do something that so many other people want to do! What surprises me is that DL has Capt. Jack out for meet and greets but not WDW.

After dd met Jack she just had to get a pink pirate hat as her one suvie for the day. She looks so cute!

Ahhhhh. I hope to get those ears too. I don't own any ears and the pirate ones seem like a good place to start. :)

Sorry I dont share well, so no Jack for anyone else!!!!!pirate:

I  :grouphug: you all, but what is mine is MINE :rotfl:

I had heard a rumor that the show was being extended through the holidays. With the popularity of the films, I can't imagine them ending it the end of August, but who knows.

I've seen the show 2x now and have been fortunate to see the particular Captain Jack everyone is raving about...he's absolutely phenomenal! I have a feeling he works the weekends when the park is most crowded.

I am glad that they are having this show while we are there!!!
Hope we get a chance to see Captain Jack!!!!!!!!!!
This show looks rockin.

I have to agree - I hope this show (or atleast JACK!) sticks around for a while, even if they have to change it up a little. We only stood to watch it once, but we walked by it several times. Lemme tell ya, you might like it the first time, but unless you have the Jack already posted (and the one we saw, below), I'd HIGHLY recommend you try to see it again, just to see him. We only got to see him twice (as someone said, the first time we walked by it, I was dead sure they had brought Johnny to Orlando...the city, not his co-star), and he's definitely better than the other ones we saw. Don't get me wrong - the other(s) are good too, but this one.... :lovestruc

I have such a huge crush on him, lol.

I read somewhere (not sure where - sorry!) that they would be doing the show into September, but I hope they extend it far longer than that!! pirate:
