I am taking DH to DL Thanksgiving week so he can see all the decorations. This will be our 3rd visit this year (we are AP holders and this will probably be the only time we will be AP for many years since we are from Colorado). We went in July just the 2 of us, then again in Sept with our 2 boys, and now in Nov. We aren't really going to ride rides or get attractions done since we were just there. We really want to take in the lights and just the over-all Christmas spirit during Christmas time there. We have been on a couple tours - A Walk in Walt's Footsteps and then the California Adventure one (I forget the name, but we were on the very first tour - it was cool). We really enjoyed them. Since it is going to be busy while we are there, it might be something nice to experience. How is the Holiday Time tour? It is $80 - is it worth it? Do you get perks like preferred seating to the parade or something? This is DH's Christmas present so I thought it would be fun to do something special. I did a search on it and really didn't find anything. I'm sure there is info on the Christmas thread but there are so many posts I would be lost looking through them all. Thanks!

From what I understand, yes, you do get preferred seating at the parade with hot chocolate and a gingerbread cookie. In the Christmas thread, there are some pics. I believe you also get to go on HMH, JC, and IASWH.

I plan on booking this for my upcoming December trip as well.

Just to remind you, AP holders get a 20% discount on the tour, so it would be more like $64 per person.

You can always post in the Christmas/Holiday Superthread and ask about the tour and where to find the information about it !;) :goodvibes I'm not sure why anyone would ever think they have to look through all the posts. Just jump on in and ask questions -- we're friendly and welcoming people, and we don't expect anyone to have read all of the posts!

In this post (which is right on Page 1 of the Superthread), there is a whole section about the Holiday tour (look under Main Street/Holiday Tour). It includes reviews -- both very short and more detailed -- of the tour, from last year and prior to that (including the thread that krispin41 linked above).

We did the tour last Christmas (on Christmas Eve). It was worth EVERY cent for our family of 5. We walked right on to the 3 rides with Christmas overlays and the seating for the parade was perfect - comfy chairs right up front, across from IASWH. Plus, there were treats throughout. I would do it again if we ever get back there for the holidays!!
We are planning a trip for March 2015, and I'm trying to find a tour that can match the wonderful experience we had on the Holiday tour.

Was wondering if anyone has done this with a kiddo in a stroller? I would love to do this tour but have my DS 2 with us

I did it with two kiddos in strollers a couple of years ago.

It was super fun, and we got a cute pin each. The kids didn't get much out of the talks (obviously) but they enjoyed the rides and the parade. Oh and the hotchocolate and cookies.

I ended up leaving the stroller in Fantasyland half way through the tour and we just walked back and grabbed it when we got close. I think you go on the train around the park at one point so no strollers then.
