I was very uneasy about our San Angel Inn ADR, to be honest we have never experienced a good meal there. Since we transferred our BC reservation to the GF I started to think that something onsite there might be more convenient since we always go back to the resort midday to rest. We dined at GF Café' years ago ('99) during our first stay there. Can anyone tell me how the food is now?

We ate at the GF Cafe last month for dinner and it was the best ADR of the week! Dh & I both had the New York Strip and it was perfectly done. Our server gave exceptional service! I'd highly recommend it.

Thanks, we'll have 2 teens and a tween with us so I was thinking that the menu there looked the most versatile. This way we can get steaks if we want and the girls can get whatever they want too!

We ate there for lunch in May and it was first class! Favourite lunch of the whole two weeks! Pictures in my food report if you want to see them!

We recently ate lunch and dinner there and it was very nice. Food was very good, quiet, and relaxing atmosphere. I think you will enjoy it. Check out the menus though.

We have eaten dinner there the last three years and it has always been good. The service is great and the atmosphere is very relaxing. With that being said I have to say I was very disappointed this year. We ate dinner there in Sept and there were 5 of us on the dining plan. Our waiter gave his speil and let us decide on our choices went to get our drinks and came back to take our order. I ordered rib eye, DH ordered strip steak, DD ordered rib eye, DS ordered the strip steak and other DS ordered the pasta dish. The waiter then laughed and I asked why he was laughing and he said he had us pegged for 3 strip steaks and 2 rib eyes. I was quite offended by this as I felt since we were on the DDP he knew we would order steak. I have to say they were the 4 worst steaks I have had at Disney. They were full of fat and I was quite disappointed. Since we have eaten there before and the food was good I would go back and give it a try again. I have been home for a month and his comment is still bothering me.

Lunch there 2x over the years and it was fantastic both times. I had the open faced sandwich withe boursin cheese and it was incredible. Had the Cobb Salad another time and loved it.

DH gets the Floridian burger...still raves about it!

we have eaten dinner several times over the last couple of years and always find the food to be very good - great pasta, hamburger (for my teenage son), steak - good salads. the service was good and it is nice that it is on the monorail so you can scoot back to MK for fireworks or walk around the pretty hotel and grounds.

hope you enjoy your dinner!

I haven't eaten there, but several of my friends who traveled with us did. 5 weeks later and they are still raving about how awsome it was.

We have eaten there on almost every trip (cause we have stayed there on almost every trip!) Anywho, we really like the Grand Floridian Cafe. The new york strip is yummy and oh don't forget about the chocolate fondue for dessert. REALLY YUMMY!

Can't beat it, we had a great meal there last year and can't wait to go back next week:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Glad to hear the positive feedback, I'm pretty sure now I made the right choice!

It was great! We had dinner there in August and we were all really happy with the quality of the food and the service. Not to mention, it's fairly quiet and not an ADR that you have to work very hard to get...always a bonus with me.;)

The best eggs benedict anywhere. They were cooked as each individual ordered. It is a must place for us. For lunch: Sandwiches are large and excellent. Our favorite lunch is the shrimp caesar. We counted 18 shrimp - a little larger than popcorn size. Never have tried dinner - maybe next time.

One of our favorite meals from our honeymoon trip. The food was fantastic and the service was incredible! :goodvibes
