Tell me about the first time you got pulled over

I was speeding, but I was a cute young girl in a jazzy red car and it was a cute young policeman and I tol him the truth. I was listening to music, and it was a beautiful day, and I had my sunroof open and I wasn't paying attention and I was sorry. All of which was true.

He gave me a verbal warning and let me go!

:D

I've never been pulled over for speeding, but I did get pulled over once, when I was in college. I was driving my boyfriend's old bomb to a sorority party at his fraternity house. As I approached the traffic light onto the street his house was on, the light turned yellow. Two or three cars turned left on the yellow, so I decided to, also. The only problem was that the light turned red while I was deciding! I didn't notice, and sailed through... well, there was a police car waiting to turn right across the intersection! He of course stopped me. I was shaking like a leaf when he walked up to the car- I didn't know where the registration was, and I couldn't find my insurance card. He asked me why I had turned left on a red light. My reply? "I am driving my boyfriend's car, and I'm not used to it." He let me off with a written warning, but to this day I get scared every time I see a police car behind me!:earseek: :earseek:

Not speeding, but when I was 17 I worked at a bank as installment loan secretary. I was headed to the company Christmas party. There was an intersection in our small town with a stop sign, but no one ever actually STOPS for it unless someone is coming the other way. They just roll through it. Which I did. As I pass another driveway I see headlights come behind me and then the blue lights. The officer asks for my license then he says the obligatory "Do you know why I stopped you?" I honestly didn't; I didn't even know if it was a stop sign or a yield sign when he told me, I shrugged. He said he was going to give me a ticket. As he walked towards his car, he stopped, came back and said "Miss, where do you work?" I said the bank, and he handed my license back and said "Have a safe night and stop for all the stop signs."

When I got to the party and told them, everyone was trying to decide which police offer it was that banks with us. We couldn't figure it out.

About a week later, my phone rings and the man says "My name is Officer ____ and I applied for a loan a months ago and I was approved. I changed my mind then, but now I would like to know if I can still get it." I told him to come fill out an application.

When he stepped off the elevator, I nearly had a heart attack. It was the SAME OFFICER who let me go for the ticket.

I guess he thought by not giving me a ticket, he could get the loan. He got the loan based on his credit history. He was late on his first payment.

:hyper:

I was 13 driving a motorcycle the first time. I got pulled over for speeding and no license. I told him my last name and he got mad and told me to start up the bike and get on home. My dad was a cop back then and he knew him. No ticket.

The last time I got pulled over I was 43. I have been pulled over so many times for various reasons and haven't a clue as to how many times? Too many to remember....

I think I finally grew up after 43 because I haven't been pulled over or ticketed since.

:p :p

When I was 18, I was driving home from college on the highway, had my music blasting and was singing along to the music! It never dawned on my to look in my rearview mirror! Finally, I happen to look up...and see a State Trooper almost tapping my car and points real angrily to pull over! Gee, I thought! I wonder how long he was following me!? I pull over, while he walks over to my passenger side and opens the door! Out on the highway fall all my text books! He asks me if I saw him for the last 5 minutes following! Oops! He didn't give me a ticket...but said I was going much too SLOW in the fast lane!

Ok, I am a total  , I've NEVER been pulled over (knock of wood!)

Now, I probably will be! :teeth:

17 years old, caught speeding by our local "everyone knows Officer George" policeman. No ticket, just a stern talking to. I figured there was really no reason to tell Mom!! Wrong, Officer George goes to our church!!

I was 19 when I got my one and only (knock on wood) speeding ticket. I was going to college at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and I had spent the weekend at home. I was in Illinois on my way back, about half way between home and school I was going about 12MPH over the speed limit...I admit it, I did it...ended up paying like $90 I was ticked off.

Then two weeks later I got a ticket in a parking lot at the movie theatre I worked at. It was like 11pm on a Thursday night (everything in this town closes down at 9pm) and I rolled thrugh a stop sign in the parking lot of the theatre and got pulled over. I was working over night screening a bunch of new film prints and I got a freaking ticket because the cop thought I was up to no good. I was REALLY hacked off at this one. $95 for a stop sign in a parking lot.....

Sorry...i get mad just thinking about that.
