Tell me about the Coarl Reef Restaurant please.

We go every time. We love it, the kids love it, the ILs love it.....

Lobster Ravioli! Yuuuuummmmm.....

This is our favorite Restaurant we've eaten at. This past trip we tried garden grill, coral reef, flying fish, ohana, crystal palace, le celier, the japanese hibachi place. We enjoyed it so much we cancelled our dinner at chef mickeys on our 2nd to last night and ate at the coral reef again. We have a ds11 and ds3 and just love this place. When we checked it the 2nd time around we asked if we could wait for a table on the glass, they said they would try to accomodate us so I told the host we would wait it out if they didn't mind which they did not. We probably had to wait an extra 20 minutes but we got the best seat we've ever had and it was awesome. The grouper, big shark probably swam by every few minutes. This was our 4th time at the coral reef and we will definitely go back again next year. Ohana is probably our 2nd favorite place but this past trip it was a very very rushed meal.

One more thing I will add that I did not like was the divers. At first it was exciting to see divers swimming by. After about the 3rd time by they began to get a little annoying. they were like a bull in a china shop after the first 5 minutes.

Despite the reviews we had read prior to last year's trip, we decided to give it a try. I already have ADRs for this year. Our crew (ages 41, 41, 14 and 9) really enjoyed it. The food was decent and the view of the fish kept the old man (me) thoroughly entertained. My son still talks about the creamy lobster soup. Definitely worth a try.

We were not impressed at all with the Coral Reef. As people who enjoy seafood, we felt like our food had a very fishy, not flavorful taste. Or course, we live by the coast and get fresh seafood all the time. We're not going back.

Random question about Coral Reef: Does Disney own it? Or is it like so many other EPCOT restaurants and is owned by an outside company?
