Are they kept clean? really really clean?
I do almost anything to avoid using a public bathroom , especially with the kids...........but I realize in our week at disney I will be forced to utilize many public bathrooms! LOL

I haven't been to a Disney park in several years, but from what I understand, they keep their bathrooms very clean. The only time I've ever seen one in need of cleaning was when a group of teenagers decided to be "creative" with stuff like mud and condiments. But, once guest services (or whoever it was) knew about it, they had someone there cleaning it up within a few minutes.

If you ever have a problem with the condition of the bathroom, or anywhere else, just let a CM know, and it will be fixed quickly.

We were just there a couple weeks ago, and the bathrooms were very clean.

Enjoy your vacation!

I was at Typhoon Lagoon 2 weeks ago and the restroom I went into was one of the most disgusting ones I have ever seen (and I am not picky about these things I assure you). I have honestly seen port-a-potties that looked better. There was only one stall in the restroom that I could force myself to go into. This was the only dirty bathroom I saw while at Disney but boy was it DISGUSTING. It is also not just a waterpark issue because the restroom I used at Blizzard Beach was spotless.

All the bathrooms that we used in September were very clean. We never experienced an issue regarding that at any of the Parks. I'm sure that they have cast members checking up on them every half hour or more.

I have read on here that Downtown Disney had quite a few issues regarding their cleanliness.

I am JUST like you!!!!!
I HATE public bathrooms!!!!! BUT... Disney's are some of the best I have ever been to. They keep them very clean. At least the ones we used.
Also, They are a nice size so you aren't forced to hit the stall doors etc.. when trying to get out.

I'm sure they're as clean as can possibly be expected when you have thousands of people using them every day. Most times there was someone in the bathroom cleaning every time I went in one.

Disney does a good job at keeping up with the restrooms, but they are still very highly used. I don't feel comfortable unless I clean the seat before using them. (I can't stand those stupid paper seat cover things. They don't fit the seat, you're sweaty and they stick to you, etc.) I always carry a travel pack of Clorox Wipes.

The one between Peter Pan and the Haunted Mansion at the MK was deplorable during MNSSHP Tuesday night. Every stall had waste strewn across the seats and the walls. It was embarassing.

The other bad one this trip was behind the hat at MGM. You could smell the bathroom before entering. I overheard more than 1 kid saying "I'm not going in there, it stinks".

We did not have problems anywhere else on site.

We've never had a problem, but if you have a child, the bathrooms in the Baby Care areas were nice. The one at MGM (and maybe others) had child-sized toilets and sinks, if I remember right.

For my dd, I use potty toppers. They stay on and don't slide around as much as the paper ones. When a bathroom is questionable, I put down a potty topper and then put the folding potty ring on top. You just have to be careful when removing the potty topper that you don't leave the double-sided tape on the seat. It is a pain to try to peel it off. I keep these supplies along with the little folding potty that uses bags and some soap, toilet paper, and anti-bacterial wipes in a backpack that I can attach to the stroller using one of my dd's toy links or link-a-doos. Then it is easy to grab when she needs the potty.

I have the same issues as the OP and have been to DW many times in the last few years. I can honestly say the restrooms in the World Showcase rank right up there with gas stations. They are always filthy and stink. The best one in the area is near the baby center before you get to Mexico.

I have always found them to be very clean. The only problem we did have with the bathrooms is that most of them automaticly flush and it scared my dd when she was younger. I carried post-it notes to cover the sensor so it wouldn't flush when she was on the potty.
