I'm just curious. I've never taken a trip anywhere alone and wonder how you enjoy Disney by yourself.

I've done part of a trip solo, and also have gone on my own when family is with me. I had a wonderful time. You don't feel rushed and can do what you want to do. Eat at places you usually wouldn't with family along.

I've gone on solo trips several times, I love going by myself. November will be first solo trip as a DVC member, but I will be staying at the SSR on developer points.
I am looking forward to staying at the AKV on a few solo trips as well. Hopefully my first stay at the AKV will be with my son, daughter in law and my grand-daughter. But if that falls through I will go solo.
Heck, I am even planning on going to Disneyland solo...its an addiction.

I've never done a whole trip solo, but DH doesn't have as much vacation time as we would like, and so, I've been at WDW by myself and it's been great. I've met a few Dis'ers and enjoyed going to a Flower Power concert with 2 of them, I've also done some workshops during F&G by myself. I ate at Chefs de France as a solo and enjoyed the experience. I surprised myself! When you're solo, you can do whatever you want, whenever. I did beach yoga at 7AM, and didn't worry about waking a roomate!!

I'm from the UK and did a week solo. I stayed at POP (and did the DVC tour and hence, am now an SSR owner!).

I loved going solo - did what I wanted, when I wanted. Could stop and people watch, change my mind about what to do and generally please myself. However a week was long enough to be on my own.

I love going with my family too. Our flight leaves for Orlando in 10 hours as DH and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary with the mouse, with our first trip home to SSR. He's fast asleep but I'm too excited to sleep!!

A solo trip is the best! *** one is never really alone. I fly down and back solo but thats it. During some of the mornings I may go to the parks solo but by mid afternoon/night we meet up at Off Kilter & British Invasion.

I have met sooooo many ppl at WDW - In 18 days Im returning to stay at friends homes. Just returned back home 12 days ago.

Did my first solo trip last Jan and it was one of the best trips I have ever gone on. Got up when I wanted to ate when I felt like it. Went on the Keys to the Kingdom tour and made some new friends. I will be going again solo this coming Jan again :yay:

I have done numerous solo trips and loved every one of them. VWL is my home property and I feel very comfortable and safe staying there on my own. I always request an upper floor as I think, for a single female, that is definitely safer. I enjoy going to the parks by myself, dining by myself, having a drink in one of the bars by myself. There are always people with whom to talk. On my last trip, in August, I met an absolutely lovely British couple and we have exchanged e-mails.

I am going again the first week of November for my first ever trip to F &W. I am looking forward to it.

I am planning to "celebrate" my BD next yr solo! Now that's my idea of a birthday present... free admission, no work, no DH and no KIDS!!!! Can you tell I am a little excited!

I actualy bought a season pass to DL in CA. I travel there about once every 2 months. I spend most of the day there after I get off work. It is pretty cool. I do what I want, when I want. The single rider lines make it so I can get on any ride quickly. One night, I rode space mountain 5 times within a couple hours! I have to admit though, I really miss my family being there. It is only half the experience without them. It was cool though to get a hot cup of that cinnamon tea, some fudge, and just observe the park. I don't know what I would do at DW if I went there solo.

I've done three solo triips and loved them all. I've met up with other solo DISers several times--for meals, rides & drinks. Although I'm really looking forward to taking my kids & grandkids in May, I honestly think I like my solo trips best.:goodvibes

I have done alot of solo trips before meeting DW. Done part of trips solo. DW gets less vacation time than me. I have enjoyed them. They are different than with others. I know some folks have trouble eating alone at sit downs. Some folks take a book to read at these restaurants. I have had great time doing character meals solo. Folks have set up meets with other DISers to meet folks, others just enjoy doing what they want, when they want. I enjoy doing all the rides. DW doesn't like doing that all the time. I go do things she does not when I am there without her. If I want to get out early and rest in the afternoon, I can do that. If I want to sleep late I can do that too.

Several years ago, I did a solo trip right after I graduated from highschool. Most of my other friends wanted to go to the beach to celebrate, but for me it had to be WDW. I had a great time!!

Now that I've gone with my kids, it would be hard to be there without them...but I do enjoy late evenings in the park solo after they've called it a night. Epcot is my favorite late night solo adventure.

I've done several solo trips and have always had a terrific time! While I love experiencing WDW with friends and family, there is something especially wonderful about doing exactly what I feel like doing without worrying if others are having a good time. :)

I don't really mind dining by myself, but I usually just do counter service places so I can play things by ear as I go along.

Solo is the only way to go! SSR is the best resort given its size and proximity to dtd. I go every year...wife kicks me out of the house :)
