Tell me about Restaurant Marrakesh

DH and I are going for free dining in Sept. and want to have 1 adventurous meal. We are NOT and I repeat NOT normally adventurous eaters. We have narrowed down our adventurous meal to Restaurant Marrakesh or Chefs de France.

We are wondering if there is a "show" at Restaurant Marrakesh though. I thought I read they have belly dancers perform and that could be interesting.

I'd love opionions and thoughts on these 2 restaurants. Thanks!

We have been to both, and we like both of them. Both of them are pretty toned-downed for American tastes, so they are pretty safe regardless of where you go.

Marrakesh does have the belly dancer, so that is something that is fun to watch. The food is really good, and if you really want to get something that is pretty "safe", get the grilled chicken with couscous. We usually get the mixed grills whenever we go to Mediterranean food we have never tried before.

Chefs de France is good too. Now show, but the food is enough there. There are enough things on the menu there to be adventurous without not knowing what you are eating.

I would go for Marrekesh over Chefs for something you will probably never have again.

Another vote for Marrekesh. I didn't care for Chefs at all the last time I went. Marrekesh has good food and the bellydancer as well, nice atmosphere.

we really like marrakesh last year when we went. dgf was ok with it and the belly dancer was hot!

I was just thinking tonight about which of those to pick. Marrakesh here we come.

Why choose? Do both! We love the lunch at Chef's, but have never done the other. We are going in November and we are going to do lunch in France one day and go to the other for dinner one night! Glad it is getting good reviews!
