There is an 80% discount code right now and I was thinking of getting some for our trip in March. The website isn't much help in answering my questions.
1. If I buy one is there an expiration date (just in case I don't get around to going to the restaurant this visit).
2. I saw on another website there is a new thing called dinner of the month where you get $350 worth of certificates. With the 80% discount code this would be $24. But I don't see any mention of it on the website.

Be careful and read the fine print. There is usually a minimum amount that you must spend, only certain restaurants participate, alchohol is excluded, tip is included but not in the minimum (so they hope people will miss this and tip twice). Its tricky but if you do it right, you do get a nice deal.

We use it semi-regularly and have never had a problem. One time a restaurant closed, and Restaurant.com refunded me before I even knew the restaurant had closed.

Everything kelcoppens said is correct, but it can vary. When we were at B.B. King's Blues Club in Orlando just before Christmas, we were able to use ours for anything we wanted including alcohol (we don't drink so that wasn't an issue for us either way) and t-shirts or anything else in the store.

We use it all the time and never had a problem. Sometimes it has a certain amount you have to spend between 2 sometimes is really hard but in those cases we take food to go.

I've always used them and they work great,as others have said just make sure you read all the criteria each restaurant requires for use.As far as expiration date it used to be they all expired one year after purchase, they however changed that to a no expiration date.I had like 3 or 4 that I bought when they put them at 90% like in Sept 2009 and never got to use them and thought they had expired in Sept 2010,however since they changed the policy I went in my account and saw that I could print out the certificate again this time with the no expiration date printed on it.Also if a restaurant closes or stops accepting them you just call them up and they will give you another certificate of the same value to replace it.I had this certificate for this restaurant and the owner said he had just bought it and wasn't accepting them so we left and that same day got a new certificate to another restaurant, something funny was that the restaurant that stopped accepting them was totally empty during lunch and when we called to get a new certificate they were removed from restaurant.com and amazingly like 2 months later they got back on the restaurant.com website.

anyone have the 80% code? Please keep us informed about the monthly dinner thing for $24! I would like to buy a bunch and that would be a great deal. Thanks!

the current 80% off code is MEAL

I too have had great luck with restaurant.com! We used one for Garden Grove this month too!

If you go to the Restaurant.com home page it's on the bottom right hand side. HTH!

We use rest.com regularly. We've never had any issues using the coupons but I'm confident that if we did the website would make it right. I never buy them for more than $2 (or haven't yet anyway) a coupon and with a family of 4 we are able to meet the minimum easily. Just read the requirements carefully and be aware of the restrictions and you'll be fine.

I always use restaurant.com and have saved alot of money by doing so. The certificate will state the terms which vary from restaurant to restaurant. Most restaurants allow you to use the certificate towards the purchase of alcohol. One restaurant even included the tip and tax before the discount was applied. We did tip extra on that check! Sometimes we have had to order food to go in order to meet the requirements of the certificate. And that is an added bonus! I highly recommend them. However, I am not sure about the dinner of the month club as I like certificates in denominations larger than $25. This is a personal choice though.

Do you have to click on something to see the dinner of the month promo? Not seeing it?

I see it now you need to click on give a gift on the home page.

I had never heard of this website before spotting this thread. Sounds like a great idea for our next Disney trip. We are not going until November, but it would be great to take advantage of the current discount code. Does anyone know if these certificates come with an expiration date? I'm not seeing anything about that on the website...but being a newbie I am probably missing something...

I haven't used them in quite a while, we just don't eat out that often - but I seem to remember them expiring after a year.

Thank you! I was just on mousesavers and they say the certificates have no expiration date. Either way, I'll be safe. :)

We use them a lot. One recommendation: call the restaurant to make sure they still accept the certificates. We've gone to a few with good certificates (that we had recently purchased) only to find they weren't accepting the certificates anymore. Restaurant.com refunded without a problem.

We've tried a lot of fun new restaurants with this and often "have to" order the apps to meet the amount. It's great!! I highly recommend it.
