I'll be at MGM on a day with one Fantasmic at 7:00. I'm thinking of doing a package with dinner at 4:00. What time do they turn them on? Is there any way to run through the lights before 6:00 when we need to start walking over to Fantasmic? How long does it usually take to walk through? If we do have to go after Fantasmic is it crazy crowded and take forever? Last question - can you still go over there after Fantasmic if the park closes at 7:00?

Whew! I think that's all!

I was there early Dec 05 and Osborne lights came on from 6-7 and Fantasmic was at 7. I went to go hold seats from my family while they walked down Streets of America. I was able to run over afterwards and see the lights after Fantasmic ended. The night I went the street was packed with people...Moved a inch a minute and was shoulder to shoulder with people. The lights were cool and an "snowfall" in FL awesome.

I went in Dec.05 Second week and went After Fantasmic and it was Great not overly crowed. But they where having 2 shows that night of Fantasmic besides EMH night. It worked out great. This year I am going the Saturday after Thanksgiving but before Fantasmic's first show and going for the Second SHow so hoping it won't be crowed that night. It is really awsome to see.

After Fantasmic, go out the other entrance and you can walk back through New York and see the lights then!

i was just amazed by all of the light. the best display i have ever seen :thumbsup2

I'm not sure I know where the other entrance is. Is that where package holders get to go in? It would make sense that you could go back out that way since strollers are parked at Oscars. Is that correct?

It sounds like there won't be enough time to squeeze in the lights before Fantasmic. The info I read said that everyone in your party has to check in together with the dinner package, so part of our party couldn't save seats while the others went to the lights.

It's frustrating to be at Mama Melrose and have to go all the way to the other end of the park for Fantasmic then all the way back to the lights (with thousands of your closest friends).

When we're been there the first or second week of December they always turn on the lights at 6 o'clock. I'm pretty sure that's the time they always turn them on. They are really beautiful. There's not an entrance, the lights are all over New York St. and connecting streets. They tried in 2004 to make one entrance, but it didn't work(too many people, too little space) and went back to the old way in 2005. I told the CM's that I was glad they changed it back and they all said 2004 was terrible. I agreed. Oh yeah, and there's snow!
