Ohana varies. We went for breakfast and dinner last week.
Dinner: ADR for 7. Very long line to check in, didn't wait too long once we had beeper. Good table in corner behind bar. Not in the middle of things. Direct view of castle. Baby spotted castle and fireworks immediately. No utensils on any plates. DH allergic to shrimp. Chef at next table going over allergies so I tried to get his attention so that I could save him a trip. Ignored us. Salad dropped on table. No utensils, by this time had asked 2 CMs one brought us one set. DH v hungry he ate salad. Waitress came about 10-15mins after us being seated. Gave drink orders and she ran away. I stood up and shouted "we have no utensils and my husband is allergic to shrimp!" He wasn't going to eat it but it just can't be touching his food. She said from 10 ft away "Well now I have to get the chef". So out came the chef and he realized why I was getting his attention before. He said just don't eat the shrimp and they are not cooked next to anything else. We decided to ask him for utensils. Eventually we got some and gobbled down salad when the next course set down. Food was excellent. Entertainment nice but we were not in the middle of it. Could see how it would be annoying. Bread pudding amazing. Waitress was awful but the people who bring out food very nice. After a 2 hr meal the baby had enough. Dh left with her and I stayed to take care of bill. We were 2 rooms with my parents. Told waitress at beginning yet she combined the bill. When we finally got corrected bill back it stated that I had 2 less TS than I should. My parents were correct and my children's were correct and yet we had the same amount of meals. I spoke to waitress who was busy loading too many plates that she dropped. If they had just taken care of our bill they would have been able to seat another party. She said she had to talk to the mgr. Mgr reportedly told her that I had to go to Front desk of Hotel to get a printout ( I was staying at Poly). Waited on line CM lovely told me that Ohana double charged me but that front desk couldn't fix until it was posted in am. I went back up to Ohana. Now I was mad. Asked for the mgr. Waited a while. Explained everything to her. Now I was really mad b/c they add gratuity on tables of 6. Did she add on an amt that would be double? That needed to be fixed. Mgr took my receipts and card and was gone for 45 mins. She did send 2 messages out that she was working on it. Waitress never went to her initially and messed it up so bad that it did take 45 mins to correct. Billed all meals to me and to my parents billed their meals and the 2 kiddie drinks and 1 beer my DH had. Mgr fixed everything and removed gratuity. I told her it wouldn't be fair to the people who do the actual serving that the waitress made an error. By this time the restaurant was closed. It was 11pm btw our ADR was for 7. We arrived at 6:45. A four hour meal for 45 mins of eating. Btw 7 days of dining together and this was the only time the 2 accounts got messed up and at other meals we ordered apps, cocktails and wine.
Breakfast:
We went back for char breakfast 2 days later. I did not want to disappoint the kids. Very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. 7:50 am ADR and was back in room by 9am. Good meal. Kids loved the juice. Fruit was fresh, coffee in good supply. Service very nice. Character interaction nice and at a good pace. Not crowded while we were there. Kids danced. We let our meals get cold not the fault of the restaurant. Kids mentioned it was my bday the day before and they brought me a button, a card and a cupcake and sang. No mistakes on bill and no delays. When we were leaving it was getting crowded.
