Is it a lot of fun? Scary? Is it something a 6 year old could go on? We are going next week and I saw last year while we were there that this new ride was coming Spring 06. So I'm excited to go on it. Can anyone tell me what it was like?

Also last year we went in April and the weather was perfect. Not too hot, didn't rain but I think once. I've been watching the weather and see it's been in the 90's...YIKES! Any suggestions on staying cool? Are the lines for indoor ride air conditioned? I can't remember from last year because the weather was so mild I don't remember getting overly hot then.

Thanks!

I have done Soarin in Disneyland...My son, not a daredevil at the time, loved it. I think he was four. I wouldn"t call it scary. It is exhilarating, and one of those wonderful disney rides where you are buzzing about afterwards, young and old alike. It is a simulator, but you are high up. It is hard to explain, but my MIL who is absurdly afraid of heights loved it.
I would say go for it. Your son will probably think it is the coolest thing ever.       :lmao:

Thanks! I can't wait. We head to Disneyworld next week and I'm not sure who is more excited, us or the kids (: I'm really looking forward to that Soaring ride. Sounds right up my alley.

It might actually show your alley... if your alley is in California.

Soarin is a great ride, not scary at all. If your child is afraid of heights is might be scary. It's like sitting in a hang glider and flying through the air, except not at all scary, really is a great experience. You are seated in a row of seats and then lifted in the air over an IMAX type screen. It's like a motion simulator type ride except you're not enclosed.

It will be very hot during your visit, tour early in the mornings and take a break during the mid-part of the day and come back to the parks in the evening.

Most ride que areas have fans outside and air conditioning inside.

Drink plenty of fluids, bring a mister fan, and consider purchasing neck wraps, they work pretty well.

Over all, take it easy, don't over do it. Most of all HAVE FUN!!!
