Tell me about Monster's Cafe?

My 12 year old son is a classic horror movie fan and he is really wanting to eat at Monster's Cafe. I know the food isn't going to be that great, but can I at least expect half way decent food? And of the foods they offer, what is the safest bet? I'm not really looking forward to eating there but I guess I'll do it for my son--the things us parents do for our children!

I LOVE the atmosphere of Monsters Cafe...even if the food isn't the best. I'm sure your son will flip...especially when he sees decor.

The Monster Cafe has an awesome atmosphere and really good food. However, I may be a little biased since I had the Universal Meal Plan and realized that it was all free. Believe me, the best tasting food is free food!

As for items at the Monster Cafe... they include:
Rotissarie Chicken w/Corn on the Cob and Seasoned Potatoes
Personal Pan Pizzas
Spagettie and Marinara Sauce
Fruit Bowls
Jello Bowls
And that's all I can remember!

My DH and I had the spaghetti and didn't care for it at all. They had a chicken pasta dish that looked pretty good and we were wishing that we had opted for that. The kids had pizza and thought it was pretty good. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself was pretty cool. We probably won't eat there again, but I wouldn't let anyone else's opinion stop me from going.

On the allearsnet web site, I found the menu, I was thinking that the rotisserie chicken sounded good, the spaghetti sounds good too, as I love bolognese, but t-and-a said she didn't like the spaghetti, can you tell me why? Also, the salads sounded decent. As long as my son has a good time then I'll enjoy it too. Which room is the best room to eat in?

Me and my sister just had the pizza there last week. It was actually pretty good. We waited until they put non-burned pizzas out before we took any, though.

The spaghetti was just a little bland to us....it may just be our taste. I thought it looked good when we ordered it, but we were disappointed.

Go for the chicken and if they have it the mile high apple pie. The salads are good as well

I have always wanted to try Monster's Cafe, but we have our favorite places to eat and always go to the same ones.

I would say that Monster's Cafe has average theme park quality food-but the atmosphere and decoration can't be beat! We love the themed dining rooms as well as the TVs that play clips from the old Universal horror films.
