Tell me about Maya Grill?

Hi,
I would like to know about this restaurant?

My family and I have ate there two times, service was excellent, food was really good. The insides of the restaurant look like the inside of a Mayan temple.They serve some mildly hot(spicey) flat breads(more like crackers) before the meal with a olive oil type dipping sauce which I thought were awesome. This is one of those great Disney restaurants that gets overlooked because of its location. Don't let the name "Maya Grill" fool you, it really is an upscale restaurant.We thought it was top notch.

DH and I went 2 years ago when we stayed at CSR and we really liked it. It was a little fancier than we expected (we thought it would just be a casual meal like an average sit-down chain restaurant, like Outback or Friday's) but it was a little upscale. I don't remember exactly what we had, but DH had a steak and I had a vegetarian meal and they were both very yummy.

I'm glad people like it -- I've read some pretty bad reviews. My family is having an early dinner here our last night because we're staying at Coronado Springs and we have an 8am flight the next morning. We may switch our reservation to Kouzzina, though, if it's open by then.

We walked in there on our last trip and to be honest I was a little worried about eating there because of all the bad reviews I had read. But we could not believe we had missed it for so many years, we loved it! The food was excellent and the service was very good! Not to mention it was a great "bang for our buck" on the dining planing because it is fairly expensive.
We loved it so much we cancelled one of our other ADR's later in the week and went there for dinner again. I will say the second time our service was not near as great but the food was still really good. We loved the chimichuri dip that they serve with the bread there, the waitress gave us the recipe and I just made it a few weeks ago...it was great!
