We are going to be at Disney June 6th-14th, we usually go in Sept/Oct/Dec...Its been ages since I have been in the summer, how will the crowds be? I know it will be hot and maybe some rain anything else??

I've always wondered about June as well. If it's such a crowded time why does WDW have discounts up to June 15th?

We are staying that week as well June 7 to the 13th at CBR. We have gone in June before, it is busier but not as busy as later in the summer.

I think with a plan and some midday breaks from the heat it will be completely manageable!

We have gone in late May before and are going 1st week of June this year. Many schools are still in session at this time so the crowds are not as bad as mid to late summer.

We went last June 17-25. It was crowded but nothing that would scare me off from ever going again in June. Honestly the worst part was the heat...it was in the low 90's when we went. The mornings weren't bad but by noon we were ready to go back to the hotel for a break.

We always went to the park first thing and got to ride our favorites and used FP for the afternoon or evening time. We always went back to the hotel for a while too as it got super packed by 11:00.

The only thing that would make me hesitant to go back was how hot it was but we managed and still had an awesome time!

We were there first week of June last year (5/31- 6/8). I would say if you go during Summer, the first two weeks of June are the way to go.

Parks were on the moderate side (6-8's), but did not feel "packed" or crazy with people. Typical day for us was RD with no to little wait until 10:30 or so, then use FP+ once crowds picked up. We then ate lunch and went back to our resort to swim/enjoy the pool bar - the Pool Games Staff at WL were great! A couple days we started at the pool and then switched FP+ for the evening.

After freshening up in the room, we had dinner. Then we either went to a park and rode in short lines during parades/fireworks, stayed at the resort and watched movies on the beach and the Water Parade go by, do mini golf, or DTD. Whatever we felt like - so yes, spontaneity is still possible at WDW!

The weather was warm - touched 90 in the afternoon, but it did make pool time that much better!

I will be in Disney the same time as OP Star Wars weekend will be going on at DHS so keep in mind that park will be busy on the weekends. I have been last few years the week after Easter Sunday as well as July so I know the crowds will have to be better with the exception of DHS!

We always go in June and love it! We go either the first or second week of June and don't feel it is extremely crowded. A lot of schools don't get out until mid-late June, so I think that helps with crowd levels.

It is hot though! We are from Alabama, and are very used to the heat, so it doesn't bother us though. We do rope drop (or shortly thereafter) and stay until a little after lunchtime, then hit the resort pool for some relaxation, before hitting the parks again in the evening. The other good thing about going in summer is that hours are usually extended, so it is not unusual to have an evening emh where the Mk is open until 2am. We love being in the parks late at night!

We also always go early June and love it also!! It can still be crowded and hot but not as bad as later in the month. Also the parks have the later emh going so it's fun hanging out at nighttime!

I think beginning of June would be a good time, most Northern schools don't get out until mid to end of June. I think our last day of school is june 23rd.

We went the third week of June in 2013. We always do rope drop and plan around taking advantage of the early Magic hours. We plan out our rides so not to go back and forth across the park, do as many rides as we can early on, saving the attractions that do not normally have long wait times for later. We left mid afternoons for a break then returned later. We stayed on property so back and forth was easy.

June was very crowded, especially after mid day. And hot, pretty much beastly hot! Rain showers moved in most late afternoons, but on a couple of occasions they served to clear the parks out a bit in the evening!

We just returned from a short trip to WDW, and the difference in crowd levels from the prior trip was very noticeable! While I preferred January, when we travel with kids and grandkids, we have to go during school vacations.

is Early to mid June. As noted above, the crowds can be heavy at times. We usually leave early afternoon and return to a park around five. After a nap/swim, a shower and change of clothes , I feel better than the people that stayed through the afternoon look.

Rope drop, as usual, is your friend. While the parks are crowded in the afternoon, lines are short in the morning.

We're actually arriving Memorial Day weekend this trip due to the kids' schedules. We'll see how that works.

Good to know..We are thinking about doing June 2016 and I was curious. The last trip we went the week before Memorial Day (left on the Saturday of that weekend) and I didn't feel like it was super crowded. It was getting hot towards the end of our stay though. We don't usually take afternoon breaks but there was a couple days I wouldn't have minded it. lol

We'll be there June 4-15. Planning on one for sure HS weekend day for SWW on our first weekend, and if we enjoy it we'll do a second one the final weekend.
Usually just DH, DD and myself, but this year we're taking my brother's daughter and my husband's brother & family for a total of 8.

We're supposed to have a family meeting this weekend to discuss it :)

Last year I travelled to Disney for the first week in June. I didn't think the crowds were bad at all really (I had expected much worse). Using Fast Pass+ we were able to get on all the rides we wanted to. It was never uncomfortably crowded or anything.

My only complaint was the heat (I am from Canada, not used to such things lol). It was so uncomfortably hot for me I had to leave Animal Kingdom early and take frequent indoor breaks otherwise. I actually got a bit sick at Hollywood Studios but perked back up after a lunch in the wonderful AC of Pizza Planet.

It didn't rain at all when we were in the parks but honestly, if it had, I would have welcomed it given the heat :)

We went in June a few years ago, it was crowded, but not crazy. The heat, on the other hand, was horrible! I live in Georgia so I'm used to hot and humid, but it was almost unbearble. We drove down from the beach to spend a day at MK, got there at rope drop and ended up leaving at 2:00. We were all miserable.

Our usual time to visit is either June or July. I only thought June was hot until we changed up and went in the middle of August! My goodness, it was hot!!! And crowded. Early June was much better. It's hot, it's crowded but nothing compared to what we experienced in August.

Our last two trips have been in August. I much prefer October! I'm hoping June will feel refreshing after August.
