We usually stay at PBR but are trying RPR this trip. We are dining at Tchoup Tchoup as usual but just wanted to know about Islands Dining Room. How is it for lunch/dinner?

It is never busy when we are there and always yummy.

The menu is in the food sticky.

i loved the steak last year.

it was so good, i ordered it twice during last years stay.

It's not bad -- but I preferred Jake's when I was there. However, I think that last time I stayed at RPR was '09 -- and I don't know if anything has changed since then.

there have been some changes on the menu.

some of the items i really enjoyed 3 years back wasn't there last fall.

We love The Islands, and even during July when we are there its not busy, but the food and service is excellent.
there is a coupon on here for it saving $10 www.orlandocoupons.com

What's the kid's dining room like? Worth going to with kids?

Here are a few pictures from the website:

It is quite cute!

I've never done lunch or dinner at Islands, but IMHO it has the best breakfast buffet out of the three Universal hotels.

We went in 2006 and my kids LOVED it. They went in the kids area and ate, laid on the bed and watched tv. The food was delicious too!

So I can't seem to get a breakfast reservation any day from Nov 18-24, could it really be booked completely already? So wanted to eat there!

I don't think I've ever seen the Islands full. It is a huge restaurant. Do they even take breakfast reservations?

I went on a central restaurant booking site and it kept saying no tables available at my time so will call the hotel directly!

Thanks!

I think the earliest that they take reservations is noon.

Yes I called the hotel and you don't need reservations for breakfast.

I love this board!!!
