Tell me about Hollywood & Vine character *lunch* please....

So we cancelled the Minnie's Seasonal Dine Fantasmic pkg dinner and got an ADR at H&V for the Fantasmic pkg lunch buffet instead. While I've considered trying H&V for breakfast, I've never considered it for lunch before until I saw that the Fantasmic pkg was available (and a lot less $$ than the Minnie's Seasonal Dine). The icing on the cake for us is that we will get to check meeting the Disney Jr. characters off our list (a must for our almost three year old) while securing preferred seating for Fantasmic (a must do for the rest of us); but the real question is how is the food?

I honestly don't get the bad reviews. I hate buffets but I think this one is pretty good. I love the lobster and shrimp Mac and cheese and the Asiago chicken.

this place used to get abysmal reviews but around the time the seasonal dines started I read they got a new chef and I pretty much only see good reviews now. It is a buffet so it won't be gourmet and some stuff might on occasion get a little old on the buffet until replaced/replenished. But in general people like this place now and the character interaction is supposed to be quite good too. Enjoy!

Both times we have been for lunch we really enjoyed the food. Price is quite up there (which is why I think last time it was walk in), but the food won't let you down.

We've done it twice (doing it again in Mag) and we really like it. The food is pretty good and we've had great service (our server was beyond amazing this past September). I definitely recommend it!

I hope she enjoys it! The characters spent a good amount of time at our table and the kids loved it.
