Tell me about Hilton Head

I'm thinking maybe in May of 2009 in taking my family to Hilton Head for vacation. My daughter will be almost 3 by then and would probably love the beach, I am hoping my Dad would come with us and he could do some golfing. We would need a 2 bedroom as my Dad would want a little privacy - or do 2 studios.

If we go for 5 nights - what is there to do?

we have been to HHI twice now with my DD (and my Father in Law) in a 2BR and LOVED it both times. it is such a relaxing vacaiton compared to WDW and so much more laid back but still lots to do. we were there in May for my DD's 3rd birthday last year and she had a blast doing to usual: swimming in the pool, walking on the dock, checking out Shadow, doing story time w/ cookies and milk, participating in some of the kids activities (although she was a little young for the art projects there were other events that were perfect for her like on on ladybugs) hanging out on the beach searching for shells, tagging along in the trailer while mom and dad cruised the island on bikes. etc. we did go into savanah one day and took the horse drawn carriage tour which she got a kick out of.
