I went once in late February and unexpectedly TODAY found out that we are going Feb 4-11!! YIPPPPEEEEEE.

Tell me about the crowds, please!
:cool1:

we were there the first week in february 2003 and it was awesome. No lines. You could ride splash mountatin back to back. It was great. The weekends were busier compared to the week days. We just got back 1/2-1/5 and it was much more crowded this trip.

That's good to know. We're going for a short trip Feb 4 - 8 with one park day. We should get a lot done if the crowds are light. :cool1: :Pinkbounc

We were there last February 6 -17 and thought it was far less crowded than previous trips over the summer, spring break/Easter and Christmas. The only time I would say it was really crowded was on a Saturday at MGM. There was a cheerleading competition going on and it was packed with cheerleaders. We ended up using our hoppers to head to AK.

I'm going the same time as you! I have read conflicting info. Never been in February myself. Some things I have read say it's the SLOWEST time of the year. With the exception of the cheer competitions on the weekends. But then I read posts from February 05 and people were saying it was very crowded. But this was due to cheer comps, mardi gras, daytona, and conventions. I did hear there are conventions going on for our week. I have our fingers crossed for low crowds! It's why we chose this specific week!

We go arround February every year (considering that's when Mardi Gras is)

Last year we went arround February 8th, like you are ::yes::

Crowds;
It seems like Monday (Which was the 7th last year, also our first day at the parks. We went to MK that day) was the most crowded. We got there about 10 am and the line for Peter Pan's flight was quite long, due to the cheerleading competitions. We had been there an hour and had only ridden that ride- once. Then we ate lunch, and after lunch it wasn't as bad, although it was still our most crowded day. We only were able to do a few attractions because I was sick. But other than Peter Pan, we didn't have any really bad line waits (Although The Magic Carpets of Aladin was pretty long... like 20, 30 minutes). Crowds were also heavy because of Mardi Gras week.

Tuesday (the 8th) was Mardi Gras day. We went to MGM. Lines were about the same as everytime we go (which is Mardi Gras, every year) We also waited a really long time at the Sci Fi Dine In Theater restraunt. We did make reservations, but people were walking up with no reservations and they were seated before us.

Wednesday (9th) We went to Epcot. It was actually not very crowded :).

Thurday (10th) We went to Animal Kingdom. It was really, really hot. (I always find Animal Kingdom the hottest park, I don't know why.) Crowds were pretty normal. The Safarri line was crowded, as always, though.

Friday (11th) We went back to MK. The lines were really good, considering we got fastpasses for everything. This is what (well seemed at least) like our least crowded day :)

Wheather;
It was usually really warm. I wore those Bermuda shorts most of the time with a short sleved shirt, and a light jacket. Also, I wore a cap and sunglasses because it was really sunny. It is fairly chilly in the morning (because of the breeze), but it can warm up to be really hot. So dress in layers. However, the last day we were there, it was cold, so I had to wear my warm winter jacket. (Although I believe that was because it rained in the morning, making it cooler)

People there;
At this time there is no specific holiday I know of. Presidents week is the most crowded time (besides any other time schools are out, such as summer, Christmas break, etc.) and Mardi Gras can get crowded too, but those are not until the end of February, so you should be lucky. However, watch out for the dance competition girls. There will probably be a bunch of them, considering every time we go arround the time you're going they are there.

I hope this made sense/helped!
