So we're totally hooked on Disneyland. Got annual passes and have been 4 times since Memorial Day. (We live in Phoenix, about a six hour drive.) However, we've only been there during what would be considered fairly busy times: Memorial Day weekend, Fourth of July weekend, a weekend in mid-October and a weekend in December. We're thinking about running over there the first weekend in February, the 3rd-6th. I looked at the schedule, and the park hours and schedule of entertainment seem fine. Our three year old will miss the parade, but that's okay. Anyways, I'm just wondering exactly how NOT busy it will be. We typically arrive for rope drop and take an afternoon break. I mean, are we talking about 5-10 minute waits for just about everything or what? Just trying to decide how many days we want to give ourselves. Also, what's the weather like then? Any advice from those who have been to DLR during that time is greatly appreciated! TIA! :goodvibes

We got often at this time and it is AWESOME! low crowds... sometimes there is a rainy day...

We were at DL in early Feb/09 and are planning on returning to the mouse, driving down and arriving on Feb 1st, and staying for 7 days at HOJO's. Based on our last trip, I can tell you that the crowds are alot lighter during the week, but the weekends get really busy, with 30 min or longer for the more popular rides. During the week 5 mins or less lineups. The weather can be very unpredictable, especially if the Santa Anna winds flare up. On our last trip we had a combo of hot, and rainy weather, so it's best to be prepared, and bring cheap rain ponchos in case it rains. There will not be as many parades, and entertainment in general, and the parks will close earlier than other times of the year. When it rains the characters disappear, but once the rain stops they come out in droves, especially around the enterance to Main Street. There will be rides that will go for refurbishment during the slow time, and it's best to check the main Disney website for the times for parades, park hours, fireworks, and other entertainment. We like it as a family, as the crowds are less, and we are not as rushed once we are there. The weather's not perfect during Feb, but who cares, you are going to the happiest place on earth!! Hope that this helps you out, and have a great evening!

We plan our one and only trip of the year for the end of January or start of Feb. We love it. Nearly walk-on rides, no wait for restaurants. We will be there again the 2nd-6 of February before our Disney cruise!!

From Phoenix here also! We have one day tickets to use up and are going to be in the park(s) on 2/3 (thurs). We will be staying at HoJos- this time trying a family suite using the entertainment rate.
Wondering if it's a good time to go, but even though we will miss the fireworks, we'll have a great time.
We were there last May and it was a bit busy on the weekend but not bad.
No telling what the weather will bring, but I'll be watchiong it closely, and have my ponchos ready!:goodvibes It is always cold when the sun goes down- that moist cold air gets me.

Go! You will enjoy it! Crowds are bigger on the weekends, but nothing compared to the more busy times that you have gone. As long as you are prepared for the off season closures, you won't be disappointed. We will be there after our cruise.

Early February is a pretty good time to go. The crowds are usually pretty light.
