We're going in December and by then we'll have a 6 year old girl, 4 year old girl and a 3 month old baby. We had this trip planned before we found out that we were pregnant and I'm determined to go. Please give me any advice, tips and anything you know about bringing a tiny baby to Disney.

Thanks so much! I cannot WAIT to go!!

We took our DS when he was just under 3 months, and we're headed down again on Saturday!!! The best advice I can give is to take advantage of the baby centers! If you're nursing, they have rooms where you can nurse, they have wonderful high, clean changing tables, spots to feed the baby in a high chair, and spots for the older kids to color or watch (what else) Disney cartoons. You can also wash anything you have -bottles, dishes- and buy just about anything that you might need from baby food & formula to diapers.
The other thing to keep in mind is that sun block is not recommended for babies under 6 months -which I didn't realize and confirmed with our pediatrician so be sure to have hats and keep your baby covered. When we were there this past December, it was really warm, so we used very light blankets to keep our DS covered since I stupidly didn't pack long pants properly.

We went last September with our 3.5 yo and our 6 month old. I carried the 6 month old in one of those baby bjourn carriers 95% the time.

It made it very easy - he slept some of the time and I was able to easily get on and off some of the smaller rides without any problems.

We took a 4 month old this past September and it was really nice-she sort of forced us to take it a bit more leisurely. I loved the baby centers and selfishly wish there was more than one in each park. It is not always realistic to run back to one just to feed her (I was breastfeeding). My DH & DD 3 would hang out and watch cartoons, browse in a nearby store or go on a nearby ride. I also BF her in dark shows like the Laugh Floor Comedy Club. Just sat in the back row and made sure I kept us as covered as possible.

Most anything you need you can buy at the baby centers (formula, pacifiers, bibs, medicine, diapers, etc...it just costs more than you wish it did.

We used both a stroller and a bjorn. The bjorn (or any carrier-I think a nice light weight sling would be great) is nice for while we are on rides or going into shows. When we we wearing her we didn't have to deal with getting her in & out of the stroller, especially important when baby is sleeping. Yet, the stroller was great for walking around and giving us a break from carrying her. (We did not bring the infant car seat/travel system type stroller. 3-4 months is a little young for most strollers, but umbrella stroller/hammock type seat worked well for us at 4 months old).

September was HOT and so we were very conscious of keeping her from getting overheated and keeping her hydrated.

We took a smallish sized back pack with just enough supplies. I really tried to keep the extras to a minimum. I fought the urge to pack an overabundance of diapers, I grabbed only a handful of wipes, one extra outfit. I figured if we really needed more of something we could buy them in the parks. A few ziploc baggies in larger sizes helped out-to keep wet or dirty clothes separate from other things in your bag.

She had a lot of fun, I think. She was smiley and we spoke with many people because of her (no one can resist a smiley baby). I think her fave was It's a Small World, but isn't it every little ones fave? All the audio & visual stimulation.

Have fun!

I am taking our youngest who will be 6 months old in March. Its my understanding (first trip) that you can take the baby onto any ride that does not have a height restriction. That sad, there will be a lot of stimulation so I am also packing DH's ear defenders as you can shut your eyes but you can't shut your ears! THey fold up small so shouldn't be too hard to carry.

My advice would be to have the diaper changing stuff in a large ziploc - diapers, wipes, cream, etc within your back pack so you don't have to haul the whole thing into the center/bathroom!

I will have my stroller (and Buggy Board for my 3 year old), my sling (Maya Wrap) and probably the Baby Bjorn as DH prefers that.

kiddopotamus (spelled wrong I'm sure) sun shade! Keeps rain, sun, and bugs out. You can snap it shut when baby is sleeping, open one side only if you want to let baby see out the non-sunny side, it keeps people from poking at your baby, and it makes your stroller easy to spot!

Not to mention preventing sunburn;)

I second the baby bjorn--invaluable for the rides.

We took DD when she was 3 months and it was the easiest of any trips yet! She slept anywhere, never wanted to walk, never needed to use the potty, never cried on or getting off any ride, never cried when we left the park either! I think you will have a wonderful time! We purchased some clothing with UPF in yet so we didn't have to worry about the sun. We also used one of the sun visors for the stroller. I cant remember what brand, but I can check if you want me to. We also purchased a stroller fan. I hope you have a great time!
