Tell me about Coronodo!!

I stayed there for a conference in April and it was great, and the buses ran so often to the parks that we only waited about 2-3 min tops for a bus. I loved the food there, and the rooms were so big. I do not know how it compares to the Port Orleans. But I will be staying at the Port Orleans for my Honeymoon.

I won't be there till next month, but if you do a search for CSR you will find a lot of good reviews, and some not so good.... but more GOOD!

I'm looking forward to staying there.

Busses are very good there. No lines. I stayed at CBR and the lines were very long. I loved CSR - I loved the theme and the pepper market was very good.

You will enjoy it!

We stayed at CSR after we stayed at AKL (which we loved). We did not feel like we had "downgraded" at all, if that makes sense. CSR has a very deluxe feel because of the grounds and architecture. The pool area was fantastic. Have fun!

Coronado is a visual treat! I've never stayed at the Contemporary, just passed through on the monorail, but my eyes prefered the view I had everytime I looked out my window or walked out my door. We've stayed at a couple deluxes, and MAYBE we would again, but it's hard to pay more for something that I really don't see as superior. My kids said that CSR feels more like an "outdoor hotel," meaning that it's as pleasurable to be outside the room as it is to be in. Their choice is to go back to CSR.

What a fun problem to have--choosing among all the great WDW resorts!!

If you are staying long enough, why not do a split stay? That is exactly what we are doing in August - 5 days at CSR and 4 at CR - best of both worlds!::yes::

only staying 4 nights don't want her to miss more of school...they have fall break in October for 2 days....

we split our stay 2 years with WL and BC and were so glad that we did!!

great to hear about CS!!

The Coronado rocks!! It is my favorite moderate resort. ::yes::

I have yet to stay at POFQ though as it was under refurb when I visited last but by far it is my favorite over Caribbean and Riverside comes a very close second to Coronado.

We've stayed at both but we haven't seen the refurbished POFQ. We liked both resorts but I think CS just seemed a little newer and cleaner when we were there a few years ago. Of course now that POFQ has been renovated, it could be the other way around. They both have very nice pools...I think the POFQ pool was aimed more at kids though, and I believe CS definitely had a bigger hot tub area. The CS volcano pool and water slide was a great thing in the afternoons. Some people complain that CS is a bit spread out, but the grounds and lake are so nice you don't really notice it that much. Besides, you've just walked 10 miles in the parks, what's a few hundred extra yards? :cool1: The buses were also really good at CS, we never waited more than a few minutes for a bus. Maybe it's because it's partly a convention hotel, but it seemed everything was a notch nicer there with transportation and the food areas. If you're looking for a decent location, we stayed in the Cabanas, building 9...wasn't too far from the pool or the main building.

cast a vote for CSR! We were there a month ago, and I was so impressed (I am a picky princess too), that we are going back in 3 weeks. Having only stayed at Deluxe resorts, I was very apprehensive about a mod. I was very impressed. CSR does not feel like a Mod- more like a deluxe to me. I also was very impressed with the bus services and the location of the bus pick up areas at the parks, where as the values and other mods were "in the back 40", CSR was placed with the other deluxe resorts. I think this may be due to it's convention status.........

:D

I've never been to POR or POFQ, but I stayed at the CSR in 2002 and I loved it. The whole resort is beautiful. I stayed in the Ranchos section, which I think is the best themed section of the three. It's the farthest from El Centro, but it makes for a nice walk in the morning to get breakfast. The resort also provides a nice romantic setting at night, should you not be too tired to walk some more after a day at the parks. The Dig Site, the main pool area, was awesome. The slide was fun to go down ( it's not just for kids :D ).

The only thing that I didn't like was the Pepper Market. I don't like the system and the food was mediocre at best. I only ate a few meals there, so it wasn't that much of a deal for me.

I would definitely stay at the CSR again, but only after I stay at the other resorts I haven't stayed at yet.

I had a wonderful experience here for 2 nights last month. The resort is BEAUTIFUL!! We rented a surrey bike to ride around in after check in so we could look at all the gorgeous flowers and landscaping!! We stayed in Casitas as we preferred to be near the lounge and food. The pepper market food is expensive but it is very good and the portions are large. The waitstaff in the lounge were so nice that we drank there a lot more than we planned!! I loved the pool and it was never crowded. We ate breakfast at POR twice and could not believe how much quieter CSR is!! It was like a ghost town and we loved it! The rooms are cute and the beds are very comfortable as well! I say give this place a try! You will not be disappointed! I was nervous about staying here but I have to say it was really nice!!!!!

Check out my website below for pics, links and info. CSR isn't nothing like POR or POFQ.
