I have found a nonstop out of Cleveland to MCO for $900 total for 5 of us. This is cheaper than the nonstops out of Detroit, although I have to change my dates by 2 days (for some reason all the flights in my original time frame are more expensive). We would be leaving Thurs. Aug. 9 and returning Monday Aug. 13.
I have never flown out of Cleveland or on Continental. The outbound flight leaves at 8:55 and arrives MCO at 11:17. The return flight leaves Orlando at 6:50.
We will be driving from Toledo, but DH says the drives to Detroit Airport or Cleveland Airport are similar since he's been working in Cleveland once or twice a week. Continental is a magical express participating airline so we could check our bags at the hotel on return day.
Any input on Continental or Cleveland would be appreciated.

I am from Cleveland and always fly continental! Cleveland airport isn't very big although Ive never been to detroit! I have flown from Cleveland to MCO many times and used Magical Express once but did not have anything except a carry on...My flights are usually always on time and packed w/kiddies if it is going to Orlando for sure! You should be fine! Continentals hubs are in Cleveland, Houston, and Newark which is why the fare can be cheaper when flying out of one of those airports as opposed to Detroits....My roundtrip flight for my Disney trip in March was 98$ each ticket!!! good luck!

Hi, We fly continental out of Cle into MCO just about every year. I have always been happy with their service (with the exception of them breaking my stroller last year)!! They have always been on time. CLE airport is very easy to navigate as well. I just booked for the 10th of August as their prices were the lowest I have saw in a long time.

I just made sure the hotel we want is available on these new dates, and it is, so tonight DH and I are going to finalize plans and book these flights. $180 each seems to be a steal these days. We are flying out Aug. 9!
