Please :teeth:

I had to run out to Wal-Mart yesterday to pick up some things for DH & DD. I ran (well, limped) back to the Craft section since Sweet Maxine had told me that her store had a bunch of stuff on clearance. Sadly, most of the things she'd told me about were not marked down at my store. :headache:

However, I did pick up a set of brush markers that was marked down. I was very excited as I'd seen them used to color rubber stamps instead of using ink pads, which I thought was a really cool idea. Unfortunately, the set is almost completely dried out & will have to go back. But now that I've had a set in my hot little hands I really, really want some!

For those that have them.....

What brand/s do you like?

What brand/s aren't worth the money?

Do you use them in other ways (how?) or just on stamps?

Are you talking about the markers that has a tip that is more like a soft brush? If so I have several sets of Zig markers that have the brush tip on one end and a regular tip on the other. I don't use them for stamping at all but for lettering, etc. If I am just writing/journalling I use the regular point but if I have used stencils for a title, or some other larger decoration I use the brush end to "paint" in the item.

Sorry for the enabling.......especially since you didn't have good luck with it. :sad2:

I don't know why different WM's have different prices for things like that. I guess there's just not many people who scrap where I live, so they're really trying to clear out their stock of certain things. I do know I'm going back today to get more of those eyelets on clearance. They're working great since I've solved my eyelet setting issues. I bought that MM tool set at Michael's this weekend with my coupon (DD found one where she lives :cheer2: ), and it works the best!

I'd love to hear about the brush markers too.

I love the Zig brush markers as well (only ones I have used so far). I have used them to do thick writing on cards etc and I have used them to fill in Creating keepsakes alphabets if I like the marker colour better than the fill colour, or to just add accents here and there.

I have a brush marker set from rubber stampede. I haven't used any others so I can't compare them, but I do like them. I use them only on rubber stamps. I'm afraid if I used them for other things I would ruin the tip of the brush. There are a lot of times I use the tip for coloring in a very small details on the stamp.

Deb, is there something to "rehydrate" the markers with to make them work better? I may just try a set out from my WM, as they're marked down quite a bit here.
