Tell me about Brown Derby please.

I just added an ADR to Brown Derby, I wanted it for the Fantasmic Dinner package, but dining times were to early, so we just booked a 5:20 adr. I hadn't ever really looked at Brown Derby as one of our choices, but the menu looks good. So what can you tell me about it. Also Fantasmic is at 8:30 that night should we eat dinner and then get directly in line for it?

A lot of people on here love it. We tried it about five years ago and were very disappointed. The service was bad, the food just so-so for the price (I didn't like my meat at all) and my DH thought the grapefruit cake was not as good as everyone kept saying it was. However, we like to give a place a second chance in case we just hit it on a bad night, and we will be going again this September.

We have never done Brown Derby. Our favorite place to eat at HS is Mama Melrose. I think they are also part of the Fantasmic package.

Brown Derby is one of our must go places. For dinner we usually share the cobb salad which I love how they chop it up before serving. Both dh and I usually get the filet. This past trip in december the filet we had here was better then our filets at Le Cellier. Dh also likes their shrimp app. The only so so for us is their desserts. The desserts just are not that thrilling to us.

This is one of our favorate places to dine. Usually we combine it with the Fanstasmic dinner package also. We have never been disappointed with either the service or food. For me the Grapefruit cake is to die for!

Brown Derby is always on our "Must Eat" list when we go to WDW. We love it! We ask for a booth along the side of the restaurant, so we're away from the middle tables. We generally share a wine flight and love the seared tuna appetizer. I always get the Cobb salad which is scrumptious. My wife got the Osso Bucco and loved it. The meal isn't complete without the grapefruit cake. It's so light and creamy and absolutely wonderful.

We love the quiet elegance of the Brown Derby and it's a real break from the hectic pace of the parks.

Looking at the menu I'm torn between the Grapefruit Cake, the Vanilla Creme Brulee, and the Banana Tower.

Went there for DH's birthday in October and enjoyed it...the atmosphere and service was nice and the food was good...but I don't usually agree w/the Disboard regulars and their faves, other than LeCellier. I thought Chef Mickeys stunk, both the food and character interaction, and I enjoyed CRT, which people always pan, but what do I know? I go to WDW to get my nostalgia and fun fix...I live in Chicago, I can spit and hit a 4-star place to dine! I must say that the cobb salad was good...reminded me of the chopped salad at Portillos!

It's certainly on our list of top 10. the Cobb Salad is fantastic!

I've been to this restaurant many times. On one occasion I asked our waiter if he could recommend anything on the menu. He told me to try the seared sea scallop appetizer with a corn relish on top of barbecued pork belly.......well, there's no way I would have probably ordered that myself without a recommendation. Now, I order it every time I go. It is absolutely delicious!!

I loved it. Cobb salad is HUGE. And grapefruit cake extra yummy. Service was outstanding. Enjoy!!

We absolutely love BD! We eat there on the Fantasmic Package every trip. The food is very good...definitely the best at the Studios.
