Here are our three accounts from our Dec. 2001 trip (2 dinners, 1 breakfast)
12/10: We were pretty hungry by then but couldn't decide what to eat. We took a bus over to Downtown Disney, and walked around a while but nothing sounded good. We talked about it and decided just to go back to Animal Kingdom Lodge. We'd eat at Boma if it wasn't crowded or Mara if it was. Luckily for us Boma was a 15-minute wait which gave us enough time to drop our stuff of at the room and get back (they actually called our room as we were leaving to tell us that our table was ready).
Dinner was awesome! Our server recommended a couple things that were great. Adam and I especially liked a creamy chicken, apple and pepper soup. Adam also had some hummus, saffron rice, potatoes and prime rib. I tried everything! I liked two salads, one a papaya and avocado salad, the other, an apple, tomato and cucumber salad. Yum yum. Desserts were great, obviously. We both loved the banana bread pudding the most. Luckily we get to come back on Wednesday night.
12/12: We relaxed a bit and got ready for dinner. My grandparents came from Daytona to have dinner with us at Boma's. They were a little early so we showed them around the hotel. Dinner was great again! I was nervous the Grandparents wouldn't like it, but they were adventurous and really enjoyed the meal. My favorites: Oxtail Soup and the Coconut Curry soup. Yummy. They had the banana bread pudding again too.
12/14: Today was our last day in Orlando

. I woke up around 7 and read the paper out on the balcony. Adam was up by 8. We got ready to go and began to pack our things. We went down to Boma for breakfast at 9. It was very good. Notable highlights: a weird hot cereal (a bit like oatmeal, but more soupy and the grains were more individual
it was sort of chewy (I've discovered it was quinoa)) that was tasty; an omelet station (Adam had ham, cheddar, swiss and onion omelet) and a juice mix called frunch (orange, pineapple, lemon and guava). Overall, it was a good breakfast.
